Otukpa Community, Ogbadibo Local Government Area, Benue State, Faced with Terrible Natural Disasters.

8th April, 2021. It was a hell of a rain yesterday night till the early hours of today at Otukpa, The Local Government Headquarters.

Eye witnesses (both old and young) confessed that it hasn't rained like that before in their entire lives.

The heavy down pour came with thurnder storms, eye blinding lightenings, earth tremors dust, gigantic erosion, tornadoes and what have you.

To be honest, they is no household that wasn't touched by the heavy disaster.
1. Economic trees uprooted
2. Schools demolished (That of LGEA Primary School Obu 1 is terrible as no building is left standing).
3. Churches demolished ( Rev. Kelso Memorial Methodist Cathedral, Odoba Otukpa, Enone Diocese is heavily touched).
4. Dangerous ditches everywhere as a result of the heavy gully erosion.
5. 75% of the inhibitants rendered homeless, pitied and distressed.
6. Farm yards covered with heaps of sands.

We call on the Ministry of Humanitarian and Disaster Management, SEMA, NEMA, State and Local Government to please come to the aid of Otukpa Community as they face this untold hardship.
