My organization needed to purchase some new cars and she was the one in charge of the planning and purchase, after the cars were bought it was discovered that she requested for kickbacks from the vendor,

she was almost sacked but was recently demoted to my office on the same position, Due to some key responsibilities I have in the office I'm in charge of some activities,,,
Here is the problem, she isolates himself,, still behaves like she's a superior and bossy and doesn't want to associate with other colleagues

How do I handle such a person?? How do I approach the situation accordingly,,, make I clear the babe put am for her place or I should just be complacent?

She is just trying to recover emotinally, help her by not making her feel worse.

Equally for the organization not to sack her means something. Overtime she may be given the position back and technically OP, she's still the boss. Lols until it's clear you are above, act professional.

You were doing your duties without her before she came to the unit, weren't you? Still accord her some respect. Life can flip on anyone at anytime.

Work according to the company internal policies on your core responsibilities and your workplace relationships, and trust your instincts along that line.

continue doing your job judiciously as if she's not existing.

You didn't really clarify if her current job roles requires daily communication with you. If she's not moved to talk to anyone, let her be. Just be official and maintain individual respect: good morning, good afternoon, finish. Don't be too nice, neither be you disrespectful... that's it.

You are all there to work, not to hold hands and make friends...

Focus on your job and avoid her

Kick back is something that happens on a daily in civil service tens of millions are exchanged as kickbacks, why shouldn't she be given her share when she specifically picked the car dealer out of the numerous ones. They just casted her tho... Next time she move smarter.

Asking for kick backs as the lady did is wrong. I know you probably do it yourself hence the need to defend the act, but it is also good to understand that your last sentence of the initial post is fundamentally wrong. You may get away with it in Naija but once you leave the shores of the country do not DARE carry on with that mentality.

You are very correct and I am aware that these things happen in Nigeria but the dude tried to globalize it and make it seem like it is okay to do. It's completely wrong but people do it because of the poor state of the country.
