Let's look on the bright side, this new VAT issue could be a milestone in fighting corruption. When states are generating and collecting their own revenue, it will lead to accountability and more financial responsibility.

The people knowing how much they pay to their states will be more conscious about how the money is spent and won't tolerate financial misappropriation.

This will also help states to think outside the box and come up with good Economic policies geared towards growth
