I'm blessed with my boys that works for me!

I should have been in Maiduguri presently. But the side I'm sourcing my goods over there is not really safe security wise and I'm engaged in an assignment over here. My boys took it upon themselves to go there and do exactly as I wanted. 🀩

At MaureenHD Foods, all hands are on deck to ensure smooth running of the global brand, MAUREENHD FOODS πŸ₯°

Our sourcing is not limited to Kano alone, we go to deep villages in different northern states to get desired produce.
Just as our watch word _"quality and affordability at it's peak"_ says... We stick to our wordπŸ’―

They call me AGRO JAGAGBAN for a reason

First pics: Tidying my assignment here

Second pics: Soya bean cake
330k per tonne! As at today

SOMETHING HAPPENED EARLIER THIS WEEK AND I WAS HUMBLED!!!

I got a distress call on Tuesday morning that the motor I loaded my customers goods for onitsha had an accident along Abuja... It collided with a trailer!!!

Driver alive
Conductor (driver assistant) Lost his LIFE!!!πŸ’”
Goods were intact

Police were involved, transloading was done.

By God's grace, they arrived Onitsha yesterday and offloaded

I had a sober reflection over this incidence... THE CONDUCTOR! This was someone that died while trying to make ends meet for him and his family.

Life happens

May we not loose our lives while we're trying to make ends meetπŸ‘

May the soul of the assistant driver(conductor) rest in peace

Selah

Happy new my Customers and prospective Customers

Good evening everyone

I tidied these 80 bags of beans for my customer Today

I sent the beans to an African Country!

Pics 1: This was the beans before I changed the leather... Yes it's necessary because the bags are almost worn out and wouldn't look good for export

Pics 2: This is me🀩 I was already stressed here after checking every single bag to ensure that they are up to standard

Pic 3: Work is going on, all hands are on deck to ensure a perfect order

Pics 4: All set! Bags changed. I put transparent leather Incase of rainfall so it won't affect the goods

It was
An exciting moment!
A Golden opportunity!!
A Rare privilege!!!

About today, My brand MAUREENHD FOODS was invited by one of the biggest factory in Kano, commissioned last year by the former Governor Ganduje and Aliko Dangote

It was a rare privilege for me because I had the opportunity to be taken around the company, indoor, outdoor, production room!

Of cos I learnt alot, I couldn't help but jot down lots and lots of points in my diary

These lessons are lifetime lessons for my brand!

At this juncture, all I can say for now is WATCH OUT THIS SPACE!!! 🀩

MaureenHD Foods is a force to be reckoned withπŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―

Lemme talk about one of my life threatening risky behind the scenes in business I encountered

πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡
One fateful Saturday morning during the month of November, as early as 5:30am, I was dressed up to go to the village market to source and buy soyabeans for my client

it's a 3 hour journey, I supposed to be in the market latest 8am to source for the Soyabeans. I selected two of my boys to go with me. it was a smooth ride I must say, past 8am we were already in the market...

Majority of the sellers were not yet in the market, I got a bench and sat down while waiting for them to come. My two boys went to drink Shai at Mai shai stand... Shai is Tea. Mai shai is Tea seller

Past 9am there was no signs of the soyabeans sellers... I put on my "Patience" Jacket πŸ˜„

I was already hungry but I didn't want to eat what I saw there. I yawned and yawned no be person tell me to go to the Aboki Mai shai stand to request for a plate of noodles...

My goodness!!! the noodles was tasteless!

I managed to eat only the eggs that was spicy.

Around 10am they started coming. Atlast !! I exclaimed.
But there was a development... the soyabeans I was seeing there was not up to the grade I wanted. soyabeans differs and I wanted the best grade.

After a short while I saw the grade I was looking for but the quantity was so small as I needed a trailer of soyabeans.

I made up my mind to go and come back in the next market day but my boys suggested we go to another market that's more bigger than the one we came to.

After much deliberation, I gave in.

Me: How long will it take us to get there
My boy: In few hours we'll be there
Me: It's alright, let's go.

We left the bush market past 10am boarded a taxi and that's it...
11am we're still on the road!

Me: Haba we never reach🧐
My boy: no ma, we will soon. reach

Me: ok ooo

Few mins later the taxi dropped us, I looked around I was seeing only bushes no market. Hiannn Sule this is not market na.

He told me here ends where motor can go the rest of the journey will be on bike

whaaat!!! I exclaimed

My boy: Don't worry ma we will soon reach

Me: ok oooooπŸ€”

Bike man: madam ur money na 7 taaasan

Me: huh! is it for the two bikes or just me?

Bike man: only u madam two okada 14 tasaan!!!

Me: (talking to myself) no be small thing o
7thousand .. where in heaven's name is this here in Kano that this man is charging such

Well, I climbed bike. this is where the real journey happened!

11:45am the journey began, the road was so lonely filled with trees and bushes no human being except bike men and my boys on the road

One hour later I was still on bike!😲😲😲

Jehovah onye okada isi noo ebee ka ibu m aga? I shouted
we kept going

I saw few humans planting tomatoes waved at them, they waved back with smile lol

we kept going, I saw some old women at a watermelon farm, waves at them they didn't wave back... lol they'll be like who's this alien

2 hours later I was still on bike, I was just confused. jewee ejewe adihii mma, lawa alawa adihii mma

I stopped seeing humans again just trees and bushes and trampolines covering some harvested crops.

I became scared 😩

I was scared of bandits...

The bike man confirmed my fears by telling me the bandits do come but not as frequent as before.

Me: oh Jesus Christ! increase ur speed limit I just want to see myself out of this bushOne mistake I did: Not wearing Hijab!

I wore trouser and t-shirt to look smart and agile.

Just then I sighted a millet farm, I loved what they were doing I brought out my phone to video them, you can never imagine what almost happened to me, they almost attacked me!

All thanks to the bike man that increased his limit.

I quickly threw my phone inside my bag!

3 hours, we're still on bike

my bum hurts I was feeling pains underneath
and there's no way I can stop to rest a bit.

At a point, the bike men stopped us... there was a small mountain which is not advisable for me to be on bike and pass.

My boys and I came down we strolled on the mountain on foot while the bike man was driving very slowly on his own.

I looked up the sky and said *(Maureen, you're paying your dues)*...

We came down from the mountain and the journey continued

4 hours later, we're still on bike, it was 4pm already.

I've already concluded on my mind that when I reach there, I'll reschedule an appointment with them and come back this time on a better route.

I kept telling my boys this place is so far, very very far.

I know Kano is large but c'mon this is too far for heaven sake.

No wonder bike man get mind charge me such amount.

Around 4:30pm, I started sighting bags of grains from afar, told my boy he confirmed it was soyabeans!!!

Finally! I exclaimed.

We arrived the destination , I looked around to know which local government is this far in Kano

The signboard I saw shocked me!!!!

Welcome to *KATSINA STATE!!!!*
Whaaat no naa there's no local government in Kano that bears *KATSINA*

I queried my boy.
He said yes ma. we're in *KATSINA STATE*

My head wanted to burst!
So many questions
Wait you mean I climbed bike to come Katsina State

For the first time in my life in Katsina na okada carry me come... Chaiii

The sellers welcomed us, I loved what I saw. The grades were perfect.

A saying goes, _good things doesn't come easily_... This journey of sourcing my soyabeans is a perfect example

I exchanged contacts
Off I go

I refused to go the way I came

I preferred to use the main route at least I'll be seeing human beings.

We left around 6pm, entered a taxi, the taxi man drove us to a junction and dropped.

We started looking for another taxi to enter Kano.... there was none!

We managed to see a taxi going to Kano but it was just a single seat remaining and it was getting late

My boys did something that surprised me, they volunteered to enter the booth of the taxi

No naa you can't I said, there's two goats at the back of the booth already.

They insisted cos it was getting late.

My boys sat in the booth half opened with the goats.... chaiii

We finally arrived Kano some minutes to 12 midnight

The next day I went to the hospital to get treated for the wound on my bum... Yeah it's that bad

Hours on bike
Close to 5 hours on bike no be moimmoin

Ok that's the end of one of my experiences

Till I gist una next time

I remain ur Agro Jagagban
Agro Queen πŸ‘‘ Mother

There are different types of soyabeans

These two are mostly available

On the pictures as seen, I added some informations to make it easier for you to spot the difference

Can you tell the difference when next you see soyabeans?

Schools are on holiday!

I'm particularly pointing to boarding schools or schools that prepare meals for their students.

Currently, many farms produce items are regularly needed at schools.

Some of them are grains, vegetables even fruits

The best approach this holiday is to enter working agreements with schools so that you become their regular supplier.

Nysc is not left out too

Not on holiday
It can be a weekly contract
This is the best time to get a working agreement

But this particular review, I knew how she asked "hope she can trust me with her money severally"... Her concerns were getting her beans and getting QUALITY beans

So this is me telling you that you're in safe hands doing business with us😊

It's so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, and forget to appreciate the small things.

But it's important to remember that everything in life happens for a reason, and that sometimes the best things take time.

With patience and gratitude, we can learn to appreciate the journey, instead of only focusing on the destination.

With love from Maureenhd Foods
