Thank you Leef and Nneoma for your contribution. Do I still need to add her bank statement in the application? Also what is p60 form? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by leef2022: 12:56pm On Feb 09, 2022 |
Oma6090: 1. Yes you would have to provide mum's bank statement as well. 2. P60 indicates your yearly earnings and taxes paid etc.. that's info contained in monthly payslips correlated into a single form... |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by tushqueen(f): 2:05pm On Feb 09, 2022 |
Oma6090: Please do not mention the newborn as her reason for visit. That she is visiting you and her grandkids because you are longing for each other is enough reason. Else they will assume she is coming to work as a child carer 1 Like 1 Share |

sandra50: For Tourist Visa. It is advisable to use hotel booking for your application, you can always stay with anybody when you arrive. 2) The person might have issues with government (credit or child support issues) this you don't know and it will be used against you. I can help you with names of hotel if you tell me the location you are going to 1 Like |

Soraco57: Just explain all the lump sum that entered the account. You can also write a personal letter to support your application. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Newsolutions: 4:35pm On Feb 09, 2022 |
beryour: Why not reapply immediately if you have the resources and now you explain how you got the lump sum of money |

ENEMIESENEMY: Reapply immediately. Why not support your application with personal letter stating all your financial in a bullet point |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Dollypiizu: 6:06pm On Feb 09, 2022 |
Is there a possibility of being approved for a UK visa again if i didn't use the last visa that was issued to me? I visited the Uk in 2019, the visa expired and i reapplied for a new visa which was issued and now expires in May, but the chances of me traveling to the UK between now and May is slim. I'm wondering if that won't count against me when i reapply for a new visa |

Dollypiizu:It won't. You should have no worries whatsoever. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by beryour(m): 8:24pm On Feb 09, 2022 |
It depends on exactly your reason for travelling. If you are going to visit family, then you will need invitation/cover letter from them. You will also not need to provide hotel proofs as they will need to show that they can accommodate you with documents. If you are going for tourism, then you do not need any invitation whatsoever but need to prove all you can as regards accommodation and funds. sandra50: |

Actually I backed the received fund with receipt and the income from family stated is incorrect from my end. It's ought to be 400,000 |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by AmeliaT: 10:14pm On Feb 09, 2022 |
Sorry about this. I wish you the best next time. What input do you need? The letter is very straight forward. 1. You don't earn enough to sponsor yourself on a trip to the UK. 2. The claimed budget for 2 weeks is too small and even at that, it is about 4 months of your annual income which makes it suspicious that one would want to fork out such. 3. You resorted to inflation before sending in the application. Fix these three. 1. Since you are a student, declare this and explain you run a side business as you are entrepreneurial. You however still need a sponsor. nobody random. Parents or older siblings preferably. 2. Get a proper budget for the trip. The ECO didn’t mention this but trust me, if you apply next time and state this same budget, they’ll raise it as unrealistic. Many times, they outline 2-3 primary reasons and people sometimes fix those only to see another rejection with more reasons. So, it is important that you accurately estimate the cost of the entire trip. Breakdown flight, accommodation, food, transport and a little bit for shopping and entertainment (not mandatory). Below is my personal budget guide which I came up with myself and is by no means prescriptive, but you can review, and tweak as needed. This will help guide to ensure your budget, length of trip and available balance are all in sync. Flight- £564 Accommodation- £50/Day (unless you’re staying with a family member or friend) Food- £20/day Transport- £10-15/day Optional Shopping- Variable but I always advise one to include something as genuine tourists would usually do some shopping- souvenirs, clothes etc. Entertainment- Variable but I always advise one to include something as genuine tourists would usually want to venture out to popular tourist sites like the London Eye, Madam Tussaud's, The Shard, going clubbing, etc. 3. Do not resort to inflation, sending through large deposits within the six-month period. Neither should your sponsor. Your sponsor needs to include their bank statement which needs to be clean as well as their pay slips to explain the source of funds or equivalent documentation if the sponsor is an entrepreneur. 4. You can increase your chances by going to other countries in the interim and returning- The UAE, Turkey, South Africa are other tourist destinations you can use to build your travel history. 5. Sort all of these out before reapplying as you do not want multiple rejections under your belt. Cheers! dirolad: 3 Likes |

Amelia you are doing a great job on this platform keep it up sis. I have a quick questions to ask, is travel card application for tourist ? Is children under 10 yrs of age don't pay transportation fees in UK ? because I wanted to plan for my budget and I am traveling with my Children 2,4,6 years How much is transportation perday for adult? We are going for 10days tourist Please can you help me explain how to calculate for our transportation likely food also? I saw one off your table tabular form you created but i don't know about kids under 10 years old ? Is feeding per day for adult also applicable for kids too Waiting for your Swift response Thanks sweet sis AmeliaT: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 6:56am On Feb 10, 2022 |
@askgod07 most movements can be done via bus and you can get day tickets in most cities for 4 to 5 pounds. This means you can travel unlimited no of times on that day via bus. The kids wont pay for transport in London. I think maybe the one above 5, might be differnet. Check transport for london website. For evry other city check the name of the city and then transport services. You will get the answer. |

I’m not qualified as fully vaccinated. So I’ll be booking day 2 test, not lateral flow. And day 2 test is 59pounds giselle237: |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by AmeliaT: 9:19am On Feb 10, 2022 |
You're most welcome. I used that rate based on my personal route. I tend to use the bus/tube and Uber. Guidelines for kids- Children under 11 travel free on most public transport services in London when accompanied by a fare-paying adult, or with a 5-10 Zip Oyster photocard. Children aged 11 to 15 years old can get free or discounted travel with a Zip Oyster photocard, or a Young Visitor discount. Sixteen and 17 year olds pay half the adult rate on Tube, DLR and London Overground journeys with a 16+ Zip Oyster photocard. Please check out tfl . gov . uk to see what the price would come to for you. AskGod07: 1 Like 1 Share |

You are all doing a good job. Thank you all. Please, I read that the COVID 19 rule changes from 4 am on February 11. So here is my question, How do I fill out the locator form, the time(48hrs before flying or 24 hrs), and would the PCR test be delivered to my stated house address in the UK? Also, I am thinking of doing the Covid test even though I am fully vaccinated because I don't want stories that touch from some overwork Nigeria immigration office. Should the test be done 24hrs or 48hrs before flying? |
