Islam and Christianity are the two dominating religions in Nigeria. Muslims dominated the North, while Christians dominated the South.



The northern region has three zones with 19 states, while the southern region also has three zones with 17 states.

However, there is only one Muslim among the 17 governors in the southern region. While there are three Christians among the 19 governors in the North.

Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State is the only Muslim among the 17 southern governors of Nigeria.

He was elected as governor in 2018 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).



Oyetola is seeking reelection in the Osun State gubernatorial election coming up on Saturday, July 16, 2022. If he loses his reelection bid, it means that there will be no Muslim governor in the 17 southern states.

Generally, there are 19 state governors who are Christians, while 17 are Muslims. Also, 21 deputy governors are Christians, while 15 are Muslims.

Why are Ibo christians not friendly or tolerance like yoruba Christians

Bitter Truth is that Majority Of SW are Christians

Many Yorubas with Muslim names are in-fact Christians and they don’t go into the faith alone they carry many of their family members along with them

They are trooping into and filling the White Garment Churches everyday many of them are even Pastors there and are building new White Garment Chuches everywhere

In a typical White Garment Church in Osun State or Ibadan half the Congregation were born as Muslims many times even the Pastor was a former Muslim and they are more aggressive in building new Chuches everywhere than those that were born into it

For example Ademola Adeleke who is PDPs Governorship Candidate for Osun State was born to a Muslim Father yet is an Alagba in a White Garment Church

The 11 Igbo Moslems in the SE should pick ticket and contest election. If they are OBIdient, they will get Igbo votes.

At the national level, Nigeria Christians say No to Yoruba moslems same-faith ticket.

Yoruba Christians and Muslims are often Siblings of the same parents so the love between them is thoroughly genuine

We need restructuring and decentralisation of power in Nigeria

This Muslim-muslim ticket will be the sermon tomorrow in churches across Nigeria.
