… police deny knowledge of siege

A team of police officers is currently laying a siege to the Maitama home of the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, The PUNCH reports.

The armed police officers, numbering over 10, were seen by our correspondent at about 8:40pm, Tuesday night, besieging the No. 8 Colorado Street, Maitama, Abuja home of the embattled governor of the apex bank.

An impeccable source within the NPF, told our correspondent that the siege was in furtherance to Emefiele’s expected appearance at the Federal High Court in Abuja tomorrow, Wednesday, over a $53 million judgment debt arising from the Paris Club refund.

The source said, “The governor is expected to be in court tomorrow over the $53 million judgment debt in relation to the Paris Club refund which he’s yet to clarify.

“The police officers are not there to arrest, but they’re there to ensure that he doesn’t run away again as he did weeks ago.”

Meanwhile, the Force Headquarters and the Federal Capital Territory Police Command have denied knowledge of the siege.

When contacted, the Force Public Relations officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said, “I have no knowledge of such event. However, kindly contact the FCT Command.”

However, the FCT PPRO, Josephine Adeh also denied knowledge of the siege, when contacted by our correspondent.

Adeh said, “I don’t know anything about policemen surrounding the CBN governor’s home. You could contact the Force Headquarters.”

Where are the pictures?

DSS and police should allow this man finish his tenure and properly implement the naira redesign policy, which has been terribly implemented so far.

Afterwards, they can do with him whatever they want.

Emefiele should be allowed to destroy the bribery and vote buying of the APC and PDP.

I suggest that Nigerian masses move in and secure Emefiele from government harassment.

But where is Buhari who is supposed to be in charge of these agencies?

Is this how agencies of government have been running on autopilot since Buhari came to power?

Because I am not understanding this drama around Emefiele.

Which Policy. Do you think the new note policy affects a typical Nigerian politician? Are you not aware that the new notes are already been sold to the highest bidders? If only you knew about forex, you will know the true reason why they are after him buh alas it's all politics to the average Nigerian.

Emefiele should be clever enough to read the room. All these shenanigans are basically Buhari's doings. He is hardly straight with his appointees or political associates. Man is always disingenuous.
However, Emefiele is blinded by wanting to retain his position at all cost. Mans bout to recieve the "onnoghen's treatment", that's why bubu travelled to Mauritania. forget about the peace whatever.

From one fake news to another fake news on this Emefiele natter. Emefiele is preparing for the MPC meeting due soon. Nobody will arrest the CBN gov without approval of the President so PMB is ignoring them and their fake news as usual.

It seems the media has quit its usual fake news industry around Asiwaju Tinubu. They do not want the treatment the APC media team gave Arise Tv notorious for cooking lies and fake news about Asiwaju.

If he won the primaries, would he redesign the Naira?

There are some double standards here. Nigerians are paying the price!
