So the young lady in my house went to the market in my area here in Delta this afternoon to purchase stuff for soup and she lamented that she sweated profusely to convince the market women to accept the old naira notes from her.

This is happening when you can't even lay hands on the new naira notes that are supposed to have flooded the streets by now.

The banks are as at today still dispensing the old notes at ATMs and issuing them inside the banking halls yet traders are rejecting them.

The chaos this will bring in the next days ehn, I don't really know how we'll navigate around it.

So please tell us, have you experienced this rejection yet undecided

I had to carry the 50k I had in cash today to do some spendings but I couldn't spend it 🤦‍♂️

Nobody agreed to collect it from me, I only spent 7.5k out of the 50k.

I couldn't go to the bank because they were many like the sand in Sahara desert, even if you go very early in the morning, you go still see queue, even POS people don't collect it anymore.

Naso this 43k go waste?

POS sef has stopped functioning over here. A lot of them aren't opening sef because they can't get the new notes, so no need of rejecting old note when you can't give new notes.

You still keep this large amount of old cash for hand shocked

The deadline needs to be extended because the new notes have not circulate.
