Universities Planning To Disenfranchise Students In 2023 Election. by mcgaius: 8:11pm On Feb 08, 2023
Hello people...

The biggest issue we should be worried about right now is that universities, especially those in the South-West, are plotting to keep students on campus during the elections. Some have scheduled exams during that week to ensure students remain on campus. Some private universities have published fines/penalties for absenteeism during that period. Most of these students registered to vote during the strike period while they were at home. They need to go home and vote!

I understand a youth group, Green Youth Dialogue, has sued FG and INEC, demanding school closure during the elections. Exams or no exams, Nigerian students must not be disenfranchised.

You better start crying now because you will cry blood when Emilokan Tinubu the Jagaban Borgu City Boy Extraordinaire is sworn in as President on May 29th. You think it is everybody that will sell Gala and La Casera inside Lagos holdups and sleep under Lagos bridges like your family members?

Students are free to take a break without distrupting the academic calendar. If you have something important to do at home over the weekend, won't you go? Go on Thursday, return on Sunday...that's not too much of a sacrifice! Besides, no lecturer will penalize a student for going to vote... let's stop this sentiment

ASUU must ask students to go home and vote. Most of them registered at home during the strike.

If students do not go home to vote out APC, ASUU will have themselves to blame, if APC retains power. To be forewarned..

I noticed this

ASUU Should order every school to go on break
During election so they can vote for a better Nigeria

A week holiday won’t cause any harm
