SYNW GREETS WALE OKEDIRAN AT 68
The Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW) has congratulated Dr. Wale Okediran, a prominent Nigerian writer and former president of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), as he turns 68.
The society recognized Okediran's immense contributions to the growth and development of the Nigerian literary landscape over the years. Okediran is a prolific writer with several published works. He has won numerous awards and accolades for his writings.
As a former member of the House of Representatives, Dr. Okediran also played an important role in shaping public policy and promoting the welfare of the Nigerian people. His dedication and commitment to service continue to inspire many young Nigerians.
In a statement, the President of SYNW, Wole Adedoyin, described Okediran as a literary icon and role model to many young writers in Nigeria. He also commended Okediran for his commitment to the advancement of literature in Nigeria and his efforts in mentoring and grooming young writers. The society urged Okediran to continue to inspire and impact the younger generation of writers in Nigeria with his wealth of experience and expertise.

“Dr. Wale Okediran is a shining example of what it means to be a true leader and a role model,” said Mr. Wole Adedoyin, the National President of the SYNW. “His contributions to literature have made a significant impact on the lives of many Nigerians, and we are proud to celebrate his birthday with him.”
The SYNW also noted that Dr. Okediran has been a strong supporter of the organization's activities and has played a key role in mentoring young writers and promoting the development of literature in Nigeria through his Ebedi Writers Residency.
