EFCC arrests , detained Ex-Kwara Commissioner for works , Rotimi Ilyasu, over alleged missing N20bn

The economic and financial crime commission ,EFCC has reportedly arrested immediate past Commissioner for works in Kwara, Suleiman Rotimi Ilyasu, over allegation bordering on twenty billion naira (N20Bn) that was said to have been misappropriated under his watch .

This medium can confirm that Rotimi Ilyasu, who was picked up by men the commission's yesterday morning around 10am was not allowed to go home and has been making revelations that tend to indict many officials of the ministry of works .

His latest arrest, according to a reliable sources is premise on the statement made by one senior officials of the ministry of works who was earlier invited by the commission but denied knowledge of how government has been dealing with funding of projects handled by the ministry , noting that the Governor in conjuction with the Commissioner do everything without formal knowledge of the ministry staff .

It is not however clear wether the embattled commissioner has been released today or wether the commission has gathered enough information to charge him to court .
