A young man has taken responsibility for the death 17 soldiers in Okuama community of the Ughelli South local government area of Delta state.

In a trending TikTok video, the who dismissed reports that the soldiers were on a peace mission to the community, said he was the leader of the gang that killed the soldiers.

He accused the soldiers of talking side in a community clash between Okuama community which is Urhobo, Okoloba, an Ijaw community, adding that they had no regret in killing the soldiers.

The gang leader, who claimed that his father, a retired Nigerian Army Captain, died last year, said the soldiers earlier came and took away some people and allegedly killed them, only to come back to arrest Okuama community leaders.

Speaking in Pidgin English, he said in the video, which he repeatedly said would be his last: “Okuama and Okoloba get land issue. Small crisis come dey dey. Ijaw people wey Federal Government give power … dat man go use army carry people from Okoloba community. Now dey don dey come back to come carry community leaders. And once they carry community leaders, you know the youths are powerless.”

So 2 community get issue over a land one one of the community decided to involve army.

The dirty army did the dirty job while the real army paid for it.

2 community within a state fighting in this century.

The problem in Nigeria is that INJUSTICE exist everywhere. Untill you become a victim you may not understand it all.

I can't verify his claims but what I know is that in Nigeria, there are lots of injustice. Some bad reactions come from a sense of suppression and efforts to push back. Funny thing is that the government doesn't get to the root of any issue. And most times there is money power play in altars where injustice is seeked.

Its too bad we lost the gallant soldiers and also bad the army went back to kill indiscriminately. Government should probe all the scenario that played out. A big SHAME we don't have a reasonable government.
What a country

The Lekki toll gate massacre of innocent civilians made the military look like heartless folks, today the military have experienced what those killed at the tool gate experienced.

After all said and done, we are all mortals.

They just want to send these boys back into the creeks to start blowing up pipelines again. Do not be deceived, Zakibiam and Odi cannot happen again without retaliation from boys armed to the teeth with bunkering money! The army is fighting in the NE, NW, NC, MB, SW, SE, and want to open another front in the SS again! How do you expect to avoid an armed revolution when you’re fighting everyone in every cardinal point of your own nation??

Did he "take responsibility" or did he give an account as a community indigene?

Did he say "they killed" or did he explain what brought about the "killing by bandits?"

OP should refrain from writing f00lish takes that might make people think he's an Idi10t
