FOR THOSE WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND. "NON COMPETE" IF ZENITH BANK HIRES YOU IN LAGOS,IF YOU LEAVE OR GET FIRED YOU CANNOT WORK FOR ANY OTHER BANK IN LAGOS FOR 2 YEARS. MOST JOBS MAKE YOU SIGN NON-COMPETE BEFORE THEY HIRE YOU ! THIS USUALLY UPTURNS YOUR LIFE, CHANGE YOUR HOUSE, CHANGE YOUR CHILDREN'S SCHOOL.....A LOT OF PEOPLE END UP WORKING MISERABLE LOW PAYING JOBS EVEN THOUGH THEY COULD GET BETTER JOBS IN THE SAME CITY. ITS ADVANCED SLAVERY.......BEWARE OF THE NEO-CAPITALISTS 47 Likes 4 Shares |

This is historical, and will send ripples across the big tech space. Interesting to see how it plays out with the current hiring wars going on between big tech companies. 10 Likes |

That agreement is a new form of slavery of the skilled worker in the work place. It's very draconian and enslaves the staff since the company knows the staff can not easily leave the employment. 4 Likes |

Tbranding5:Yes. It was already illegal or non-enforceable in some states. It gives corporations and businesses too much power over their employees. You already have laws protecting trade secrets, that should be enough to prosecute bad actors. 2 Likes |

Meanwhile in Nigeria you have several companies indirectly killing the quality of Nigeria labour force through poor wages and excessive working hours with almost zero incentive. This is one of the factors fueling brain drain in Nigeria 1 Like |
