And the judiciary system expects P-Square to honour that Joke of a failed system
As it stands, they don’t have more options.
Sometimes, gra gra no good.
This is something common sense would have solved.
They should have just showed an appearance at show, whether they performed optimally or not is another question .

Or maybe this happened just when the group scattered and they just couldn’t agree to perform together.

Terrible judicial system

Ruling on just breach of contract after almost one and half decades

If the promoter business depends on this for survival the business will have crashed a long time ago before justice arrived

Losing all the way up to Supreme Court

Either thee idiots are naturally wicked or they had selfish legal team that were given them terrible legal advice urging them to go to court.

13ys you dragged this simple case that could have been solved amicably out of court by either refunding the promoter's money or rescheduling the concert .

You had to wait until they dragged you to court were you lost and instead of accepting the decision of the court you went on to appeal the case up to the Supreme court.

Big men get to the root of the matter ,irrespective of money spent .

This will serve as judicial precedent for cases involving musicians who collects money and failed to turn up

They were not defunct when the case was taken to the Supreme Court.

Because the case has been previously settled, but P-Square were being foolish. 1M was the price of their foolishness.

After Mr Patrick has deducted his SAN's legal fees, and other monies he spent on logistics pursuing this case since 2011, I wonder how much he will have left.

Mr Patrick used 1 million naira to cash out 25 million naira.

Na Psquare lose.

The most useless judgement of all time.
There's someone in my community that bought a land back then in the 80s about 5 thousand naira. Now there's a strong dispute on the land, the seller's son wants to refund the 5k now and get the land back 🤣

Be quiet about things you dont understand. The Court does not need you to honour anything. It can take from you its due at will.

Serves the duo right.

They attempted to use their fame and power to suppress their wrong...after they complain of bad govt..

Serves them right.

And now they are broke is when it'd hit them the most.

I like this case.

But believe me, the person who bought it will win if he really gives them of what ₦5000 then would cost now. I'd say ₦50m.

Try go church today
I have never seen a Muslim say, "Try go Mosque today" even though they're more honest and dedicated in religious things.

Why do we Christians think everybody worships on Sunday? These same illiterate fellow Christians don't even know the first day of the week is Sunday.

These same fellow Christians are the ones secretly championing LGBTQ in America and in Africa.

These same people are the ones that visit their boyfriends or invite their girlfriends every worship day after service for sex.

My anger is: why do you think everybody goes to Church on Sunday and why do you think everybody on Nairaland is a Christian?

When you make this statement, try and say, "If you're a Christian and you worship on Sunday, try and go to Church today."

I can bet that you that made this comment won't even go to Church today.

After Mr Patrick has deducted his SAN's legal fees, and other monies he spent on logistics pursuing this case since 2011, I wonder how much he will have left.

This is one of the reasons why people have lost confidence in the Nigerian Judiciary. Justice delayed is almost always Justice denied angry

Even the PSquare guys are extremely wicked.. They couldn't pay off Mr Patrick when they failed to show up at his event after being paid, but they had money to pay lawyers to frustrate him and drag the matter right up to the Supreme Court angry...

In this kind of situation, the court further awarding exemplary damages of like 300m against PSquare would have set a deterrent against such disgusting behaviour...

The OP is being mischievous with the title...the plaintiff will get about 25million apart from the 1M which is cost for the application. The 25M may not be much but I'm sure it'll set the duo back in this economy while it'll bridge a gap for Mr Arinze, no matter how little

THE Supreme Court of Nigeria has decided in favour of Mr Patrick Arueze in a breach of contract case against Peter and Paul Okoye popularly called P-Square and their brother Jude Okoye and they are to pay Arueze about N25 million.

Oh my... If only Mr Patrick Arueze had sued for a compensation in Dollars. Ahhh...

In 2011, ₦25m was about $160,000. Today, that money is worth about ₦192m.

But why was the case allowed to linger for 13 years?
It is safe to say that justice delayed is justice denied.

In 2015, 25m would have bought 5 units of appartments in NAF Valley Estate. Today, 100m may not be able to buy just 1 unit! This man has lost the value of his investment in this suit.

Yes , but a 25m naira plot of land in Lekki in 2011 is more than 192 million naira now.

Your issue with comprehension is quite worrying 😒. The man was awarded ₦25m he requested and an additional ₦1m for filing that useless appeal at the Supreme Court.
