You don't have to lie to prove a point... There is no way a married man is able to save 35% of his 4 months salary while having a child...

It might be possible, if he has other source of income, which take care of his home, and if he has a supportive wife and live in a house that is very cheap..

I earn same thing with him, but believe me. I'm only able to save 30k monthly, the rest nah spending, the money is not even enough to sustain self...

Quarter of the year is going to end in a day or two from now, and everyone in Nigeria understand the economy hardship Nigerians are going through especially salary earners. Salary earners are going through lots due to high cost of living because salary barely meet up our daily needs.

However, amidst of this economy a lot of people are still doing exploit and still have little saving from their salaries, so we shouldn't be left behind when the year ends with no achievement.

As for me I had manage to save 350k since January this year till this April ending. I earn 250k monthly, and I must tell you with a wife and one child, it had not been easy to save. But saving and making good financial plans is a must no matter the economy.

Feel free to share yours and don't be shy because nairaland is a faceless forum with chances to share your view and personal experiences without criticism because nobody knows you here.

Thanks guys

Woo, I've cut all the cutting that can be cut. It's better now but still. Took me some time to catch up to this and taking advice really helped but Nigeria yi ehn!

Having a partner with sense is one of the best gifts a person can have.

Imagine someone asking me for Netflix subscription in this clime. I couldn't shout. This despite the fact that i have an app that provides free streaming access to basically all major platforms.

Na to invest in a small business be the way. Salary has already maxed out

Here in algeria, Local Government provide everything for students luckily. unlike my other recipients in Kenya and Nigeria, we save all our money,

The operate on a free student food scheme, three times a day cooking, bus in front of our hostel's

And by comparison even 100 dollars is a big salary here for them. We are amongst top earners.
