Can CNG Gas Really Be An Alternative To Petrol Fuel In Nigeria? by healthmister01(m): 2:01am On May 01 |
Compressed Natural Gas, (CNG) CNG is said will send petrol home like android displaced blackberry. 1kg of CNG has been projected to cost around @ N230, and it can travel approximately 24kms. Can CNG Gas Really Be An Alternative To Petrol Fuel In Nigeria? It is said also that Nigerians can buy and install conversion kit to convert their petrol enabled car engine to CNG enabled easily. However, I didn't see how CNG can be an alternative to CNG in Nigeria. We want the present administration to reduce petrol and LPG gas price, yet they are saying another thing. The convertion is about 500K depending on your car at Opic plaza, and gadget install will be renewed at most every 6 months to 1 year. Is that not too high cost? How can an average Nigeria benefit from this? How much is an average Nigeria income? Lastly, not many refilling stations dedicated to CNG. I only known of three in the whole Nigeria. Instead of solving the problem with petrol scarcity, the federal government of Nigeria is trying to escape into another fruitless hope.
