Benue State Plans To Commission N220 Million Factories, Launch Own Beer Brand by BrandSpurNG: 3:31pm On May 10
Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC) has disclosed its plan to launch its own state’s beer brand, come December 2024.

Among BIPC’s many establishments, it seeks to complete and commission its project on the bakery and water factory built at Tse Ayu, George Akume Way, Benue State which costs N220 million, this month. This local brand breaking news was made known by Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, Managing Director BIPC.

Dr. Raymond spewed this after a tour of the brewery, water, and bakery factories in Makurdi with journalists. As revealed to BrandSpurNg, he stated that the company will give Benue and Nigerians high premium quality beer that will be made homemade, using fresh raw materials.

“The decision to build these companies is to take unemployed youths out of the streets and ensure that funds are no longer taken out of the state but rather retained within to boost the state economy.

“This is because numerous studies revealed that producers of the beer and alcoholic beverages make between N800 million to N870 million monthly and this is a huge revenue for the state,” he stated.

Continuing, from the start, the company would be producing 180,000 bottles of beer per day, because fermentation alone takes 15 days, adding that the water factory from the start would be producing 3,000 table water within an hour and 9,000 per day and would increase production following the rise of demand.

Dr. Raymond added, “We have planned adequately for the raw materials needed for the production of the beer.”

About the Nigeria brand news, Mrs Theresa Abeda, Head of Business Development and Strategy, BIPC, stated that all they do is identify and recommend businesses of interest that would bring development and improved revenue for consideration.

Furthering, she added that the department has qualified personnel to carry out their assigned duties.
