Dear Bright,

Thank you for your feedback. I agree that some of our brothers and sisters are enterprising traders, but are you sure that Igbos own "most industries" in Lagos? Let us consider some facts.

By virtue of market capitalisation on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, the largest corporations in Lagos would be:

MTN
Airtel
Dangote PLC
BUA
Globacom (though not listed on the NGX)
Nigerian Bottling Company
Nigerian Breweries
Nestlé
First Bank
Access Bank, and

Each of these corporations are owned by persons from the Southwest, Northwest or South-South. Some of them, like MTN and Airtel, are owned in conjunction with foreigners.

However, it might be that you have superior information than the above. If that is the case, I welcome you to please expand my education by providing such information.

Thanks again, and may God bless you.

Reno knows the his fans are brainless.

"Most" means more than half, not the biggest or richest. Most, in this case, means highest in number, not highest in net worth.

I am not interested in proving which tribe owns more industries than others in Lagos. I just want to clarify that Reno is crafty and his fans are brainless.

Reno should have overlooked the nonsense comment.. Some idi0ts will just come out and be saying nonsense to massage their ego.
No hate o, but Igbos don't own up to 10% of industries and large investments in Lagos, they are mere middlemen and front men for foreigners who want to break into the Lagos market and by extension Nigerian market. Then they go about raising shoulders all over the place.

Igbos do not own ''more than half'' the businesses in Lagos.

Igbos do not even own 1/10th of the businesses in Lagos.

You people think business only happens in Alaba.

Even in buying and selling, Igbos are still learners.. they can't see beyond importing junks in containers and all sort of e-wastes into Nigeria to resell or be opening bale of used clothes.
The real commerce in Nigeria is firmly with Yorubas and Lagos has that history of trans-atlantic trade ever before the colonialists arrived Africa.

Their braggado and loud nature is why they go about with the wrong impression that they are above others. Just one policy from LASG will finish all of them and send them back to their villages.

This is why Igbos are very poor in business. The only place they have made it a little in the world in their petty trading is Lagos.
Yoruba dominated more business platforms than Igbos. They are babies to Yoruba In business
Igbos are mostly greatly delusioned.
Tell them to name one or two Igbo businesses that are up to 35 to 40 years and you will see them grunting.
They have none. They have crumbled them with laziness and incompetence.
Yoruba have firms spanning more than 100,90,80 years and still counting.

If they are half as good as Yorubas in business, tell them to name a single company, yes, single major company they have abroad.
I will name more than ten owned by Yorubas and positively kicking.

Offpoint?

How?

A discussion is not about the point YOU insist on
Reno gave. HIS perspective which is a LEGITIMATE one
It is a conversation not a LECTURE

because you dislike his perspective doesn't delegitimize it

They like hiding under Yoruba's successes.

If they are as good as Yorubas in business, let them prove it abroad.
That is a neutral and level playing field but they are nowhere to be found except in the powder sector in Malaysia,Indonesia,Thailand grin
