A Japanese Boy Waiting In Line At The Crematorium With His Deceased Baby by Morbeta11(m): 8:03pm On May 14
This historic photograph was taken in Nagasaki, Japan, in September of 1945, shortly after the atomic bombing of that city.

A Japanese boy stood in front of a cremation pyre and waited for his turn to cremate his dead little brother.

Joe O'Donnell, The American photographer who clicked this picture said - "After the men held the body by the hands and feet and placed it on the fire, the boy stood there straight without moving, watching the flames.

He child was biting his lips so hard to prevent crying that blood was dripping down the corner of his mouth."

Even today, the photograph stands as a symbol of strength found in the face of unspeakable tragedy, reminding us of the profound cost of war on the most vulnerable.

Americans cheated to win the war, by bringing nuclear bombs to a gun fight. Back then the Americans could intimidate everyone with their atomic bomb and they won the war strictly because of that.
But today almost every powerful nation has at least 2 or 3 nuclear bombs so no one can intimidate the other anymore

You are right bro, when the Japanese bombed Pearl harbor it was a military against military confrontations but when the US bombed hiroshima and Nagasaki it was a military operation against unarmed and defensles civilians including women, children and even babies just like the photo of the boy with his dead brother.

U guys shaaa know how to victimize the aggressor......It's funny, biase and pathetic at the same time

Everyone will lose in war......let the aggressor consider this before poking someone who may have bigger fire power.....

Its fvnny how u are trying to make deaths look different from the both sides.......as if the people that died when the Japs attacked Pearl harbor don't have families....Are they not humans??

Mayb U thought Japan bombed pearl harbour and Us dropped a bomb the next day??

In case u ddnt know, after the Japs attacked the US in Dec 1941.....

After hundreds of thousands of recorded deaths on the US...

.after repeated plea for japan to end the war...

after soviet union decided to declare war against Japan, so they will stop,.

it took another 3.5 years in 1945 before the United States used the atomic bomb..

..Japan's emperor was even warned of the coming attack that US will use a greater weapon that will forcefully end the war...but he thought it was a bluff

But u shaa want to make the US the bad guy..

Cheated?? was there some kinda rule on how to kill each other??
...... Nothing like intimidation....the US ddnt even have weaponizable atomic bomb as at 1941 when the Japs went to look for trouble....

It's the Japanese who thought they had the upper hand and was intimidating ..
.
The soviet union even had declared war on the Japanese to make them stop yet they ddnt, bombing others for years

.. U are now calling it intimidation after the US used a bigger bomb, nearly 4 years later after pearl harbour attack and further countless deaths..... Welldone!!

Without the use of the atomic bomb and nuke the US military is just an ordinary military, they sweat they bleed they suffer casualties and they die.

The US knew quite alright that they would have been unsuccessful in bringing the Japanese mainland under total subjugation through military campaign if they had used conventional methods, because the US had soldiers and the Japanese had warriors.

You must understand the point I was trying to make, the Japanese never launched a direct attack against civilian targets in their quest for aggression as an open declaration of war when they bombed Pearl harbor. For this reason it is expected that the US should have, and ought to have focused their attention on Japanese military formations alone. The use of the atomic bomb on civilians by the US is a lazy man's fight.

The Germans were already working on nuclear bombs to nuke USA m,UK and that's why the war was systematically won because Soviet union were looking for the scientists and USA were 1st to grab majority of them. It's either u work for USA or Russia or u die so the head of the research program was a German. Then no one realized the extensive danger nuclear reactions gives so hence it was thrown at Japan. If the pilot on Enola Gay plane shouted when he saw the huge smoke the bomb gave

in war civilians death determines how the war will end or continue it was just unfortunate. Because the wanted an all ground invasion but realized the damage to soldiers will be beyond count so rather use the bomb. So has the bomb ever been used in any war fare again No

Stop engaging that Village Bully! He thought "WAR" is same as Village Wrestling Championships!
Bullies are known to never take-on someone their size. Instead they always use bigger body mass advantage to intimidate smaller victims - they push, they ONLY expect the victim to push back knowing they have body mass advantage.
The moment their victim didn't give them the chance to dictate the term of engagement by pouring pepper into their eyes, they'd screamed blue murder, "I only push him I didn't give him blow!" "I only use Gun, I didn't use bomb!" "I only bomb them, I didn't starve them!"
See... Bullies are the real Coward!!!

Judging by your assertion on the bolded then there wouldn't be any need for the Geneva convention which contraven the killing of unarmed civilians, women and children during war, you are wrong bro.

During WW2 it was the defeat of the German army by the Soviets that brought the beginning of the end of Nazi Germany not the killing of German civilians.

The claimed they were Trying to Stop Japan’s Global Expansion. Before the bombing, united States began passing economic sanctions against Japan, including trade embargoes on aircraft exports among other key goods.

Its ironic the US are doing just exactly what the Japanese were doing back then. Global expansion and taking over people's lands sometimes by proxy.

Kamikaze was not prohibited in the covention of warfare, nuclear bomb, biological weapon and chemical weapons are not coventional weapons of warfare

The Japanese are more humane than the US and that is why they swore never to use that kind of weapon against humanity, Japan with all their advanced technology has never for once attempt to fabricate such weapons.

Though Soviets stopped German advancement into USSR territory which led to the bloodiest battle at Stalingrad, it was mostly Allied forces blows against Nazis at different fronts (East, West, North) that actually led to the defeat of Germany in 1945.

Some of the key highlights were the Invasion of Pearl harbor, bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Battle of Stalingrad, Battle of Okinawa, Battle of Moscow, Normandy landings, and Allied invasion of Sicily.

no war that civilians wouldn't die more than soldiers because it's from the civilians population soldiers are gotten from so Geneva convention is to stop direct targeting of civilians but me and u know it's absolutely impossible. Look at Hamas hiding inside civilians to commit mayhem. German lost because the fought on all three fronts that's why Red Army really crushed them.

the united states was strategically aiding the UK and France, they had soldiers and fleets minimally stationed strategically they supported UK with funds and weapons secretly, the united state was not actively involved in confrontationally battle until PEARL HARBOUR.

Japan struck homeland and attempted to destroy their fleets so as to render them strategically disadvantaged because them, having an efficient and effective fleet could turn the tides of war.. the attack on pearl harbor culminated into the battle of midway, where the imperial Japanese fleet faced off with US fleet, pilots took to air in a bid to destroy each other's carriers.

It was an interesting one, from there millions of US soldiers were shipped into Europe, this formed the allied forces to fend of the nazi germany and their forces of Japan, and italy which had quicky over ran the entire Europe, while bleeding the UK whom barely could fend off German rockets and jets from their airspace

The entrant of US and the defeat of nazi germany by starlin was a game changer in the war

Had hitler successfully taken the entire Soviet Union, the war would have lingered more, hitler would have had enough resources to prosecute the war, but decimation of Hitler's 7th Army in the eastern front denied him of needed Soviet crude oil, grains and human labours to carry on with the war

However, the united state never forget nor forgive the daring offensive of Japan in homeland, they initially made attempt to bomb strategic places in Japan, but the raid widely referred to as the "Doolittle raid" was not very successfully, even tho few bombs were dropped on Japan then.

As at when Hiroshima and Nagasaki happened, Japan was already defeated but they wouldn't agree to terms of surrender, the bomb which had been a secret project of united state was tested on Japan, the outcome even shocked the makers, with hitler commiting suicide at the rapid advancement of the red army into breaking, bernito musolino long dead, Japan bombed to smithen... The battle was over, but it would take several months for the war to be finally over, as skirmishes we're still happening in handful of places amd the journey to rebuild europe commence, coordinated by America

if hitler had successfully taken the societ union, the war would have been very difficult for the allied armies to win, because Russia had and still have abundant of all the resources needed to carry on the war for years, hitler gambled and fumbled, and his finest fighting united were destroyed in the eastern front, millions of his soldiers were killed, millions others captured... The weather condition was not favourable to hitler, during the snows, the Germans couldn't fight effectively, this gave starlin upper hand to push back hitler, when the snow thawed, war machines were bogged down, another advantage for starlin

According to war historians, Germany's defeat started The very moment they stepped into ussr

You knowledge in military history and world war 2 is quite commendable, I'm impress on how abreast you are in terms of military history especially WW2.

It should be noted that the finest German generals, best armies, best soldiers and best weapons were used in the campaign against the USSR. The tide of the war switched against the Germans after the defeat of the German 6th army and it's subsequent surrender at the battle of Stalingrad in 1943.
