I kept $100 my uncle give me inside a novel book. When I travelled I ended up forgetting the novel in my hostel. On my way home, it dawn on me that $100 is inside that novel and it is on my bed in the hostel I was so restless, what if someone who see the novel will pick it up to read and flip pages and mistakenly finds the $100. For 1 week I was restless Until I came back to hostel and lo and behold The novel was sitting on my bed untouched I opened the pages and found my $100 The crazy part is that many guys always enter my hostel to play pes game. But somehow none of them touched that novel. May God be praised!!!! 8 Likes 1 Share |

What does your story have to do with illiteracy? An illiterate is someone who cannot read and write. That the people didn't care to open the novel does not mean they are illiterates. Learn to use right captions for your posts. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Men are after money, not books. If it was female hostel, they would've opened the book. Even if it's book, let it be about how to make money or rock her world in bed. 8 Likes |

Let's just say it's wrong title. Most people these days love videos n pictures rather dan reading. That doesn't make them illiterates. This is our time. If not 4 eggzams & interviews, most pple won't open a page of a buk. Even this thread, some will be 2 lazy 2 read it, but will be fightin in the comments section. 2 Likes |

Succezcard:In a Civilized world, someone will pick that book and flip thru the pages. Nigerians don't like reading at all. That is what saved me 5 Likes |

iLegendd:it also depends on the book. Maybe he is reading those story books title "Nkechi and the red fowl, Ndele and the golden stick". Cos if he had put it in a book like rich dad poor dad, millionaires next door, or atomic habits. People who knows the value of those books would have opened it 3 Likes |
