Gov Sanwo-Olu Presents ₦‎3 Trillion 2025 Budget Proposal To Lagos Assembly by Dapromzy333(m): 5:06pm On Nov 21
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has presented the 2025 Appropriation Bill totaling over N3 trillion to the State House of Assembly for consideration and approval, News360 Nigeria reports.

The presentation, which took place on Monday, highlights the state government’s commitment to driving infrastructure development, economic growth, and improved public services in Lagos.

Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the proposed budget aligns with his administration’s development agenda, ensuring that the state remains a hub of prosperity and innovation.

According to Sanwo-Olu, “The budget the themed: ‘Budget of Sustainability’, is a blueprint for continuity, resilience and prosperity for Lagosians.

“It is structured around five key pillars, including Infrastructure, Sustainability, Economic, Diversification, and Institutional Reforms.”

Recall that Governor Sanwo-Olu had, on January 18, 2024, signed the N2.267 trillion 2024 Appropriation Bill of Lagos State into law, ushering in a new expenditure cycle.

The governor presented the Appropriation Bill at a delayed ceremony, held in the State House, Alausa, Ikeja.

Deputy Governor, Dr. Femi Hamzat, and Speaker, House of the Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, among other dignitaries, were in attendance.

Toh

The budget for 2025 is just N3tr, the one for 2024 was N2.2tr, that of 2026 should be above N4tr.

The increment is good

Lagos State budget is the best budget in Nigeria. It is always presented same time every year and it is always signed into law within the shortest time possible. This is the beauty of democracy.
May God bless Nigeria for ever!

I beg you in the name of whatever you worship, please try and send your children to school so you don't end up populating your village with your type.

Whenever you see the word "budget" anywhere, always note it is a projection against the future. The 3T you see is a proposal based on some assumptions which will be difficult for understanding based on your literacy level.

Having said that, it is good you note this same "smelling" Lagos is where some of your people have sworn with their lives never to leave for the East.

3Trillion from less than 1T some 3 years back without corresponding development.. this shows the high level of inflation in the country and it also brings the question of how the budget will be funded-- from debt again?

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is a perfect gentleman! Next time, tell us what percentage of the previous budget that was achieved before presenting a new budget. That's how an ideal government should work.

If you stay in your cursed village, you won’t know that Lagos is smelling.

Do you wonder why even your lord and saviour Bitter Giringori Obi ran away from his state to come and hide in Lagos? Even your last and present governors spend their holidays in Lagos while abandoning the state they are looting
