To use your present life's condition as a basis to project what your future holds is a way to limit the plan of God for you. If you can wait upon Him over every situation of your life; you will live to testify to the fact that many things He will eventually do for you has not even entered your mind(Isa 64:4).

Situation of life tends to present hopelessness with a very clear evidence in the presence of various limitation of man.
Have you suffered any kind of loss in life or resources in the time past in your life? What you stand to gain in God is the recovery of whatever you have lost. Your destiny can never be aborted if you abide in God.

In our text, Jacob had lost every hope over his son Joseph because he has mourned his death already(Gen 37:33-35). But the Lord in His graciousness did not only make him to see Joseph but also his children.

This is a typical example of what God can do in the life of a man who remains in Him.
Maybe you have also mourned over some situation of your life. If only you will believe and patiently wait upon the Lord to work out His good pleasure; your dead Joseph will also resurrect with several goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

The Lord will revive your hope in every area of your hopelessness with mighty miracles in Jesus name. Amen!!!
