From all indications, the trillions of dollars many countries have spent stockpiling deadly nuclear arsenal may well turn out to be a waste. Covid19 outbreak which is sweeping across the globe in unprecedented speed has proven that you don't need a nuclear weapon to wipe out an enemy. As of today no-one is safe from this virus.
I have a feeling that the countries that have amassed huge nuclear capabilities are studying the emerging power of viruses as a weapon of war. And even non-nuclear countries too. A militarily weak country can easily discreetly engineer a destructive virus and spread it in an overwhelmingly powerful enemy country. Even terrorists can resort to the use of viruses.
It's a scary phase in human existence.

Isn't it crassly stupid to engineer a virus and unleash it on an enemy when your populace is also susceptible and there's no way to circumvent it spread.
