I have been to this lagos you are talking about and i can telll you A TO Z about the yorubas whiile i was there. na who never go lagos before go dey see am as one big paradise. give this metro statation a year from now, and watch how it will be taken over by the so called yoruba agbeyroossss. they will so mess it up. whats the state of some BRT terminals today?

Since its you that developed Lagos and not yorubas. Go and replicate it in your state.

You people are only destroying yourselves and the innocent people among you. Right now there is nothing for non yoruba again in Lagos, you will all be irrelevant in few years to come, write this down!

Oga, I am Yoruba and am ashamed of this act of division in my own country, how would you feel if you travel to Kaduna and start looking for someone to interprete a sign for you in your own country when you are not a foreigner?

we just proved to other tribes that we are the most tribalistic tribe in Nigeria, thr igbos are even more accommodating and less tribalistic.

Only someone impersonating Yoruba will keep chanting I am Yoruba I am Yoruba

Oya Oya I don catch you grin

grin This Yoruba language is becoming globally recognized and power gradually. God really blessed yorubaland with Jagaban. With the current team leading Nigeria at the helm each time I think of the future, I just get excited and I pray God should protect Tinubu/Shettima to actual use their vision for Nigeria. Nigeria will be great again.
The problem is not Yoruba language, the problem is that we said exactly the same kind of prayer for Buhari and Osibanjo and you are a living witness to where they brought Nigeria to. Stop praying for these criminals in government, your duty as a citizen is to be on the watch and call them out for their inability to govern effectively

The division you encourage today will hunt your children tomorrow, I am Yoruba and don't support this, Lagos like every other state is still a state under Nigeria and shouldn't treat other tribes as foreigners in their own country, Its just like travel to Kano and you see something similar, wont you feel odd in your own country? Except of course you wont ever leave Lagos.

Tribalism has eating so deep into your senses that you will support a murderer or thief because he is from your tribe, throwing justice and morality into the wind.

A divided nation can never progress, Lagos wouldn't get were it is today with only Yorubas living in the state, and wont progress with only Yorubas, let that sink in.

Infact, you have activated the retrogression button of Lagos...when you chase away all the businesses and tribes lets see what will be left of Lagos asides fish markets as it used to be in the past.

How many recognized major languages are spoken in Nigeria? Is Lagos no longer a Nigerian state? I wont be surprised if you can't figure this out.

Shukuka, you go cry taya. No one gives a bleep about you.

Is Yoruba a major language in Abuja?
Is Yoruba a major language in Abia?
Why should Igbo be a major language in Lagos?

Yoruba will be on our trains and you losers can go to hell.

The hypocrisy that is on display here is why not write everything in Yoruba language. English is our offical and dominant language because there are over 300 different ethnic groups with distinct languages. If SW is to transact only in Yoruba language, how does he communicate with others Nigerians and Foreigners who don't speak or understand Yoruba? So all these attempt to impose indigenous language here and there wont work.

That blind argument is what we've created over the years in the process of enslaving ourselves. So, our brains are now paralyzed such that we cannot see any other way the world should work without the language of the colonial masters. But every language is equal and "major" unless I impose my own language on you and stop you from developing yours.

If you're non-Yoruba living in Yoruba land, you should speak Yoruba. In the same way that a Yoruba living in Northern Nigeria should learn to speak Hausa. That's actually how to get the illusive unity. You don't need a PhD degree in each others language to communicate, in fact, we already have pidgin, which is actually our lingua franca in Nigeria in the right sense of the word.

The main announcement is in Yoruba for residents and natives

We understand that most English speaking visitors might not speak Yoruba and so
It is important to make extra announcements in English

Bilingual announcements are not new even in the United Kingdom they happen in Wales where Traffic signs on the road are also in English as well as Wales
Same in Canada and Dubai etc

Moreso, the obi effect was only because namdi Kanu was not released otherwise nobody will know him. after all, he has been alive in Nigeria since he left government house who knows him then.
No other legacy that is greater than having integrity.

Stealing money and sharing to people to get people's approval is nothing but foolishness, self deceit and criminality.

Bola Tinubu is a world known criminal and no amount of supposedly good works he does will change the fact that he is a criminal and a forger.

That he rigged himself in a President of Nigeria does not change the truth that he is a known treasury looter who captured Lagos from 1999 to date using ill gotten wealth.

He is not the first corrupt, criminal President in the world, the world is filled with lots of corrupt, criminal Presidents, so Tinubu is not the first neither will he be the last.

But let it be known that Tinubu is a globally recognized criminal and forger!

Just take a look at how one man has unsettled every other Nigerian politician without even saying a single word.

Peter Obi you are a legend, first of its kind that Nigeria ever had. A man that his silence alone makes opposition to pee in their dirty panties.

Reno Omokri have gone mad over Peter Obi that haven't altered a word in response to all Reno Omokri's unnecessary attacks on Obi. Ah, God abeg I tap into Peter Obi's divine grace, e no easy; a man whose silence makes the whole nation go gaga cheesy

Well, the Lagos assembly did you pass a bill some time ago to carry out more activities in Yoruba. I guess the last few elections have shown them that the yorubas are fast losing the land to other tribes. By enshrining the language into official activities, they might slow down that loss. Let’s see how far it gets them.

Lagos is not the only yoruba land. Infact its not even the oldest or most cultural. we have the ancient city of Ibadan.

The issue with lagos is more political than cultural. Lagos has been a melting pot for all tribes and tax payers are from all tribes.

There is no argument that lagos is yoruba land bt it is also a metropolitan state and that is not a bad thing.

Same with abuja. Let's stop the negative political agenda.

English is not our official language BECAUSE there are over 300 different ethnic groups

We have existed for thousands of years and only started speaking English about 100 years ago

Your logic is wrong and factually askew
We use English because the British colonized us

That does not mean we must use it for ever

We still use Pi to calculate the area of a circle and other Greek Alphabets in mathematics
The New Testament was written in Greek
Because Greek once occupiedthe place that English now does
Later Latin replaced Greek in that role
Isaac Newton an English man wrote his famous Principia Matematicsa in Latin not English

Now Englishis a dominant language

That does not mean that the Yoruba MUST accept that it will be like that for ever
You may come from a weak culture and accept that but the Yoruba culture is strong and seeks to be the primary language in Yorubaspace

Itis not an accident that the Yoruba religion is the only one that survives till this day among descendants of slaves in the Americas

You have a choice to accept cultural enslavement

Do not insist that Yoruba make that choice
