Bro, he has won that selection election already.

Everyone knows this.

It doesn't matter how many votes he legitimately gets, he isn't losing that election... APC is not losing Imo State. cool
excuse you...who is your bro?

NLC is definitely political, and that is a shame... However, widespread protest against NLC will also be interpreted as politically sponsored by Hope Uzodinma.

It then comes down to who has more to lose between the two gladiators.

Sadly, the people are the grass that suffers.

Since Hope is seeking a second term (which he will rig to win), why not meet with these people, resolve the issues raised, tender the apology (This can be done indirectly without lowering the governor's office), and ease the suffering of the citizens?

Imagine a full week without electricity ... That makes no sense, especially with the current inflation and high cost of fuel.

I'm sorry for you guys.
But to be honest, that is wickedness from the part of NLC. The governor may not even be dependent on public electricity. So NLC are deliberately punishing the ordinary Imo people.
I also read the NLC president is also from Imo State. Again, he may not also depend on public electricity, as he may be living like a Nigerian multimillionaire with constant electricity.

Just out of curiosity, is power supply in Imo State regular (before the blackout)?

I'm not even from there... But I have friends living and working there.

They say light has been very good in most parts of the state, especially the state capital.

And how about the roads and street lights he did? Or are their not areas he did well. I read his major failure is in security
Bro you're not in Owerri. I'm currently in Owerri so I can give first-hand info. yes, he built a few roads like Orlu road, MCC road etc but there's no single road in Owerri you'll drive from one end to another without meeting potholes.

Hopeless the butcher must lose the election if Imo must progress.

imolite are agrressive o,I hate going to my mother state, they are too agrressive there ,I noticed they don't trust themself .
So expressing their displeasure about nonsense from their governor is now aggression? We've not had light for almost 1 full week because the governor's boys beat up the NLC president, which made NLC to go on strike in Imo state. Why would a governor do that?
A litre of petrol costs #700, I spend between 30 to 35k on petrol for my factory every day, do you expect us to be happy?

Right now, all hotels in Owerri are fully booked simply because the governor doesn't want any space for his opponents to bring visitors (including election observers) into the state.

It's unfortunate. The truth is that Imo state is difficult to win if the people don't like you, that's why he's going all out to win by any means necessary

Who awarded the contract? It's the duty of the government, under the ministry of works, to supervise and make sure all jobs are done to standard. Same government collects bribe from contractors who will end up doing shoddy jobs. Oftentimes, they don't even reimburse the full contract amount to teh contractors who will be forced to make do with the little amount they're paid.

Let me burst your brain, earlier last year I and a friend of mine came up with an idea that would've greatly helped to fix insecurity in my state, Imo, and eventually Nigeria. We met a top government official through whom we hoped to gain audience with the governor and this man told us, in his own words, "I'll be honest with you, this is a great idea but if the governor doesn't see any way he can gain money from it, he wont approve it".

Just imagine that nonsense. This country is gone

The last election in Imo was terrible. Hope knows how to deal with his people. Between Thursday and Next week you won't find any opposition candidate anywhere near Imo State.

You started off well but your last sentence was a pile of shit.

"NLC have shown they are political "

You beat up the NLC President to a stupor and the NLC responds with a strike and you decided to write that crap.

So if someone beats up your dad and you and your family make trouble for them- that is political.

Some people have low capacity brain like old itel phone

Cmanforall:

From neutral point, he wasn't the one that caused the darkness. And the NLC demand for him to publicly beg them and apologise is what he may not want to do, because this same plan was used against the past governor Ohakim, when he was accused of flogging a clergyman. Learnt he publicly apologised and that favoured Rochas and made Ohakim weak.
Ideally, the students should protest against NLC and even the electricity company. NLC could have used other means, but not electricity, to show their grievances. As it stands now, NLC have revealed they are political

grin grin Hopeless Uzodinjo is a total catastrophe and the worst thing to happen to Imolites.Am sure he's begun to make kurukere moves to ensure he wins again, not like he actually won the last gubernatorial election in the state.
If not for the SC judgement, the criminal would not have smelled the the inside of Imo state government house.

I see you don't have respect. Maybe because this is faceless. This will surely affect you negatively in this life.

Your example of using your father is suitable for your family. Not surprised if he has received several beatings.

I got first hand information about what transpired. And if you don't know, there are many Imo civil servants that wished the NLC president, Ajero, received more beatings.
Civil servants in Imo State are receiving 13th month salaries, they have increased salaries due to economic situations, they have official buses for transporting them to work etc., yet the Ajero couldn't find where else he could protest, it has to be Imo, his own state because he has political interest for the governorship elections. Why did he not protest in Abia State, where I read that workers are being owed for several Months?
Or he doesn't want to draw Nigerians attention to Abia State because his party's man is the governor?
There are other states civil servants are owed across the country, but he chose Imo, when election is near.
He is a politician if you dint know, and he has been collecting money from other politicians. But as usual your dull brain will stup1dly believe all he says
I wish you more darkness in your State. He should extend it till next year. And he can declare 1 year strike. You and your family will suffer
