My cousin came back into the the country 3 days ago.
Guy decided to utilise his open ticket from an earlier Max Air flight cancelled when he wanted to travel since back in June, 2023 .
He rescheduled his open ticket for yesterday Saturday, December 2nd , 2023. Route was for Lagos - Kano.
Time of flight was 4:30pm. As per Lagos traffic, he was at the Airport from around 2:30pm.
Flight time 4:30pm, story enter, just for them to be told it has been rescheduled for 12:30am midnight.
Before you can say jack hammer, Max Air officials have disappeared, guess they new what was coming from angry passengers hence their nowhere to be found.
Now 12:30 am flight, they've been told the flight has been moved to 6:30am. Hmmm. ☹️
He and other passengers including kids have been stranded and forced to sleep at the Airport. In saner climes passengers would have been ... Well let's leave saner climes for another day.
My guy is just less than 72 hours in the country and he is already frustrated.

Apparently , Max Air released a PSA on their social media handles two days ago that a plane of theirs developed a cracked windshield, hence flights on the Lagos - Kano route have been cancelled, yet their website is still accessible with this schedule, still collecting bookings & payments. If this is not fraudulently criminal, what is the justification for this nonsense.

This flight cancellation thing has become normal and these Airlines absolutely get away with it.
Refund takes months. You hear complaints of passengers trying to get refunds for as long as 3, 6, 7 months and above.
If you want to follow our slow justice system, frustration is your portion.
What are Regulators NCAA doing about this?

Business as usual. The lawlessness in this country is just something else.
The lack of consequences is why Nigeria is where it is today. People in power and big corporations get away with almost anything.

Max Air cancel flight.........I hope the Officials of Max Air has not noticed that there was gonna be an angry husband and wife like Odion Ighalo and Sonia onboard that plane who could possibly exchange blows mid air thereby distracting the crew member and causing an emergency landing in a different Airport aside from Kano........

Useless and senseless couples have now decided to take their fight to Plane these days. Washing their dirty linen out to the world to view again and again.

Look at those couples in Lufthansa Airline some few days ago making a mockery of their marriage to the whole wide world to see.

Back then, I always kept an open mind for 2 hour flight delay as the normal tradition. But it seems this is the latest fashion to make people sleep at airports for a local flight.

If not for God, Nigeria would have been recording 5 plane crashes per year from all the ANCIENT & REPAINTED planes that we have all over the airports. Let's not talk about the horrible runways.
