What can I do to my gear?

Corolla 2009.
The gear was fixed but each time I drive on a 50KM journey, its revs without propelling the engine until I switch to Gear 3 or 2 which is tiring for a long journey.

I've engaged the mecho on getting new gear but he feels this can be fixed. He opined that all is fine including reverse issue that he fixed recently.

Please what would you advise.

I have had gear issues and I won't even wish it on my enemies. As simple as it sounds, it is a very complex and delicate engineering and we have little to no capable hand here to fix gear issues.

OP reach out to @Gazzuzz, he can help you or point you in the right direction. After working gear, your car might never drive the same again. If you have money, please replace it with exact same gear, no matter the story they tell you

Also your issues looks similar to mine. Examine your car, do you have oil spills or drops from the gear? Your torque converter may be bad. Are you sure they serviced your gear with the right fluid, cause fake full everywhere.

Speaking from experience, don't ever try to fix a gear problem; just get another one and replace it.
