Hi nairalanders, i work in a cyber cafe and the monitor of the forth system changes into red, blue, green and even white, and i was told its the VGA card that was shifting, and someone advice me to plug the video cable of the monitor to the baord of the system.

How can i do this?
Someone should help.

The VGA card is the video/graphic card. If you have a separate graphic card, then you can plug the cable into it but if your video card is integrated chances are you already have it connected. You may need to update the driver or make sure the cable is plugged in right.

Well try opening your system and change your vga card or if your's is onboard then try getting a pci plug and play vga adapter card.

Have you considered the monitor as the culprit here? Try connecting another monitor that works fine to it and see if the "shifting" still occurs.

Connect it to the board directly and not the VGA port? Some people are really gifted! grin
