YEMI ALADE VS DAVIDO: RACE TO HIT 100million YOUTUBE VIEWS Let's celebrate our own Mama Africa Yemi Alade and OBO himself Davido as they both race closely to be the first indigenous Nigerian artiste to hit a hundred million views on YouTube. In this age of trends, clicks, views, likes, etc. etc, where top global acts are conveniently surpassing a billion views and counting, it's still going to be a notable milestone in the Nigerian and African entertainment space. Yemi Alade's Johnny, undeniably one of the biggest singles to be released in Africa over the last five years (March 3, 2014 to be precise) and has not for a beat lost steam. Still trending even hotter than recent hits by top acts, it is just about 3.5m views from crossing the 100m milestone. Closely followed, and as you would expect, trending hotter on the world's biggest video upload platform, is Davido's Fall. Fall is 3 years and 3 months fresher on YouTube than Johnny, released on June 2, 2017, and is generating views at a faster rate than the latter. Being one of the "30 billion" crooner's biggert singles ever, Fall just crossed 90m views about two weeks ago. Last week was very stewy, thanks to Wizzy and Tiwa. Let's jump on YouTube this week, fans or famz or whichever and let's be a part of this close race, even make it a photo finish if possible. Shoutout to Yemi Alade. Shoutout to Davido. 100 million YouTube views, the race is on! |

It's only a governor that is caring, sensitive and bold that would venture on a program like this. Thank you Gov Obaseki for acting like a true father and welcoming back our sons and daughters with open arms. |

ehisogie002018: Let the light of Gov Obaseki and APC so shine so that these PDP detractors and saboteurs won't have a hiding place. Imagine a fantastically laudable project like the BIP still getting knocks from Nehikhare and his jobless fellows. |

Better days are here again for the Edos. What a laudable PPP initiative. Another plus for Nigeria which currently prides herself as second on the list of cassava producing nations globally. 1 Like |

It is one thing to force them back from a stupid sojourn and another to be able to reintegrate them into the society. At least now before any mumu will embark on such uncertainty, there are more options to consider at home. Kudos to the Oba and Edo govt 1 Like |

This is the height of greed, senselessness, insensitivity and wickedness. $100 BILLION!!! And nothing to show for it... Edo PDP should forever cover themselves in shame |

"...the depleted Edo PDP is idle and has all the time in the world to imagine the unimaginable..." I can understand why Edo PDP keep churning out all these puerile and unsubstantiated allegations daily. Like it is said, 'an idle mind is the devil's workshop.' 2 Likes |

That's how you know a true governor. He listens to the needs and yearnings of his people then acts decisively. Edo people shall enjoy peace under your watch. Edo people shall enjoy prosperity under your watch. Edo state shall rise to glory under your watch. Continue with the good work our loving and caring Governor Obaseki. 1 Like |

freedomosjw: PDP sha. They are totally blind to visible development, ignorant to sound economic management principles and deaf to the applause Obaseki enjoys from Edo people with every purposeful decision he makes towards the growth of Edo state. As far as the money sharing is not swelling their pockets and hitting their accounts, they can never be happy. |

thebosstrevor: People that are less aware easily jump with the white man's categorization of African music as Afrobeat; much like they conveniently refer to the whole continent of Africa as one country. Burna Boy's quite correct not to fall into this nonsensical trap like other mumu Nigerian artistes. He's also right to term it Afrofusion cos it's a mix of African music with several other recognizable world beats, mainly pop. 1 Like |
