Buzzer99: Hey bro! I'd send you an email right away. Would love to get in touch with you. Relatively, very few schools offer Cysec courses in Nigeria. You could check out https://a3techworld.com/universities-cybersecurity-courses-nigeria/ FUTA seemed to be the best choice for me for insignificant reasons and the postUTME application is currently ongoing. Would be glad to discuss more though 1 Like 1 Share |

VickyRotex: Thanks so much for your reply. I'd especially research online courses I could get from reputable schools at considerable fees. Once again, thanks very much, highly appreciated 1 Like |

Good day! I consider myself very lucky to find this thread and I'm hoping to get advice from many people here. I'm a 17yr old who has a massive interest in Cybersecurity and from what I've seen, the job market here has a pretty high barrier to entry compared to other tech roles like software development and it's rather discouraging for those just starting their careers like me. I'm hoping if anyone could point me in the right direction to begin a career in cybersecurity. I have programming experience and also rudimentary infosec knowledge I've gathered while playing lots of CTFs while in secondary school. I don't currently have any certs but I'll be taking the Sec+ as soon as I can afford it. I'm also contemplating acquiring a Cybersecurity degree at the Federal Uni of Tech, Akure, or the few schools that offer the course here in NG but my contacts there are mostly discouraging me due to the rather terrible education they're getting there. Any pointers/suggestions on what to do would be very much appreciated, thanks! 2 Likes |
