NORMAL IMPORTATION: • Combined Certificate of Value and Origin (CCVO) • Original Packing List • Original Bill of lading or airway bill endorse by the consignee to the other of Haggai Nig Ltd. • Manufacturer’s Certificate indication production standard • Copy of approved form M • Copy of Nigeria Marine Insurance Certificate. • ASYCUDA Registration Number. • Other permit as applicable i.e. NAFDAC, PERMIT, SONCAI, PHOTOSANITARY. All imports into Nigeria require the establishment of a form M through any authorized Bank. The form M is valid for a period of three months for all import except plant and machinery which are valid for a year. Request for subsequent revalidation thereafter is to be directed to the director, trade and exchange department, Central Bank of Nigeria, Abuja. The form M and relevant proforma invoice must indicate the following information to enable price verification. a. Generic product name i.e. product type, category. b. Make or brand name of the product, where applicable. c. Model name and reference number where applicable. d. Description of the quantity, grade, specialization, capacity, size etc. e. Quantity and packing. f. We recommend the proforma invoice and the commercial invoice to show its code of all items. The form M must also provide the following information. • Detailed description of goods including commercial name for each item, make where new or uses, production standard adopted. • Quantities and their measures • Unit cost of goods. • Total cost of goods • Freight cost • Mode of transportation (i.e. air/sea/road) • Detail of shipment i.e. Full Container Load (FCL), Lull than Container Load (LCL), Bulk, loose etc. • Country of origin • Country of Supply. • Proforma invoice with detail of physical address and telephone and e-mail of supplier. • Soncap Certificate: if applicable (see www. Soncap.com) • NAFDAC authorization- where applicable. TOTAL DUTY AND TAXES: To enhance the monitoring of the import duty scheme, shipping line and airlines are required by law to always state the form M number for each consignment on the ships/aircrafts manifest on the bill for al import shipment to Nigeria. Form M processing on behalf of shipper for DDP fee: N15, 000 plus insurance surcharge at 0.27% of CIF Value.
