My immediate elder brother who was a guru in driving at a very tender age,offered to teach me how to drive but had to stop because of his impatience, and me thinking I could make do with the little I learnt,not knowing much abt changing gears drove my fiance's car(he was out of town then)for more than a week on my street using only gear 1 and having to look down under the steering to be sure my legs are in proper places once in awhile,least I forget I almost removed the steering trying to stop the car from moving, instead of matching brake.

I used YouTube videos on how to drive manual car... Watch and drive with instruction I watched.

Remembered when i jam one crazy okada man that didn't wait for traffic warden signal, As i release clutch, match accelerator na so the guy wan moonlight am across my front. Thank God for the dual brake system & my sharp instructor that day ehn, I for not only bash am, i for clear am into the next oncoming lane & run over them. Luckily just tipped them to the side. Oya everybody come down! Not me! Even d guy knew it was his fault, the police men & warden just ignore am. My instructor still yab me sha just to keep up appearances. I learnt to be careful of those guys till date.

..just remove fear,,when I learnt driving,I hit people car ,some I beg,some I accelerate car run.....jst learn to match break wen ur confused

Lol... Funny stories.

My first experience was when I turned 15. I have always been a lover of cars and driving, at 13 as a complete Akwa Ibom man that always visited the village, I had started riding motorcycle, so I understood gear selection perfectly. All I needed to know was my mum explaining the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and R symbols in 5 minutes.

After I turned 15, one particular day, my dad's driver said he was stopping work that day, dad told his boy to rev the engine, that's how I entered and started moving front and backwards till my dad came and scolded me.

Six months later, I was done with secondary school, I went to stay for sometime with my favourite uncle who was a mechanic, since he wasn't married then and living alone, I used to follow him to the workshop where he'll pamper me and always leave car keys and other things with me, whenever he's going to Ikoku to buy parts.

Whenever he's out and his boys or other mechanics need to drive out or park, and one of the cars blocking is the one he left the keys with me, I'd use 'open eye' and want to park. Not until one day, I drove a rover and I don't know how I missed controls and I found myself in between two cars in a manner I can't open doors or come out, I was so tensed and my legs shaking. It was one of his boys that helped me.

Ever since that time, I've become a pro!

Mine was excellent . It started in front of my house, my cousin gave me the normal introduction blah blah blah and I formed guru as usual he then asked me to start the car which I did as a guru and oversabi still and all of the sudden , a certain evil spirit took over my whole system. my hands and legs started moving at the same time and the evil spirit reversed the car smoothly into the very big and deep drainage infront of our house. We came out unhurt I was shaking but didn't cry till my "wicked elder sis" came out of the house, looked at the scene and said " wow! I like ur driving skills and then she screamed Mummmmmmmmy come and see o! "

@Emperoh, I still dont know how to drive o. I have a golf III, but cant drive it. it is my younger brother who drives it and if he is not around, the car remains parked till he comes back. I have learnt how to drive with about 3 cars but still dont know how to. as they are explaining to me, it will enter the right ear and flies out through the left ear. May God help me.

Well it wasn't me dat it happend 2,but i was in d car too(my co learner)..... It was a frnds driving skool,he offered 2 help me learn,so on dat faithful day,i was bhind d wheels taking instructions 4rm my frnd....but there was dis busybody at d back seat(cos if its nt ur turn 2 drive,u will seat at d bck seat(co learners))d busybody kept on shouting nd also instructing me.lyk he is nw an expert.telling me wat 2 do nd wat nt 2 do.i bcame angry nd came down 4 him 2 drive(even d instructor was angry). So we asked hm 2 drive...he was all excited nd jumped in nd even refused listening 2 d instructor,b4 we knew it,he zoomed off.at 1st he was doing fine,then he increased his speed nd d problem started. We got 2 a bend,he didnt slow down,at 1st i was comfortable tinking he knws wat he was doing,nt until i looked at his face nd saw him sweating nd panting,i tapped d instructor nd held his shoulder...meanwhile d "SABI GUY" was still on full speed nd there was a thick bush in front of us.i nd d instructor sensing dat we were heading 2wards d bush,started shouting"march break,march break". D guy removed his hands 4rm d steering nd bent his head down looking 4 d breaks shouting"wey am wey am wey am". (4 my mind i say"i die well,na who send me ehhhhhh"instructor dey shout "jesus ehhhhhhh"...we just entered d bush wit full speed nd kept on hitting nd falling plants untill we were stopped by a thick plantain plantation....d instructor nd d busybody were slightly injured....when we came down,d instructor gave d guy a very big slap nd heavy kick..but i couldn't do any tin(cos i was shaking all over,nd praising God silently). Mehn 4 two weeks i no near motor,it was d instructor nd my mum dat persuaded me 2 go bck nd continue(4giv my english pls)

hahahhahahaha... thank you for asking.. I formally started driving in June 2019 after learning for about 15 months.. . I got my driver's license in January 2020.

I am a fast and furious driver now o..

Driving is fun to me now .. as far as there is no accident(s) involved...
