Are you a first born in your Family? First born are always the eldest and the rightful
owner of their father’s birthright according to the ways of the Israelite in the Bible. They
are suppose to be the richest and the most successful that their younger ones their will
be looking unto. But unfortunately, it is not so in many cases based on one reason or the
other. Some first born do not succeed in the Bible, and that makes it so hard for some
first born today to succed in life. Look at the case of Cain and Abel (Gen 4 vs 1 -16).
Because Cain was cursed by the Lord because of his act. And it continues like that to
the times of Abraham. Abraham waited on the Lord for so long for the promised child,
but he could not get it. And this frustrated Sarah his wife to the extent of giving him her
maid servant to lay with, and Abraham agreed by sleeping with Hagar (Sarah’s maid
servant) and after some time she conceived and gave birth to Ishmael making him the
first germinated seed of Abraham, but acceptable unto the Lord, because Ishmael was
not the promised child. But Sarah later gave birth to the expected and the promised child
at her old age. And Hagar and her son Ishmael was sent away making Isaac the owner of
Abraham’s birthright till today. And the story went like that to Esau and Jacob, also the
first born here was not loved, and the lord programmed the younger to be stronger and
flourished than the older (Gen. 25 vs 23). Look at the case of Mannaseh and Ephram, the
sons of Joseph (Gen 48 vs 18-20), and when Jacob was about to die, he assembled all his
12 children and cursed Reuben his first born (Gen 49 vs 3) but blessed Joseph the second
to the last (Gen. 49 vs 22 – 26). These references from the Bible will make as a first born
knows that you have a great work to do. You have to be observant and careful about the
way you live your life. See what happened to Cain and Reuben, they caused their own
down fall themselves, although God knows about some cases here but nevertheless, you
need to move closer to God if you are a first born, either male or female, so you can
attract the favour and mercy of God to succeed. Because first born life’s are always full
of struggles. (Exodus 33 vs 19).[/b]
