I don't know enough to be able to give you an objective advice on these vehicles. Ivvie might be able to help. My own rule of thumb is, never buy a Salvage Titled car or any car for that matter, unless it is rigorously inspected by an expert apriori.

I provide my customers with opportunities to inspect any car I sell.

I never had the this opporutnity of knowing or using carfax to know the vehicle history else i woud not have bought it at all. I am not saying i regret buying the car since a salvage certificate was issued on it. My car has been okay except that the AC has been grossly underpowered. No electrical issues so far really to my surprise despite water damage. I have however had course to fix the break (that i noticed anyways before buying it). The other issues i presume are not related to water problems anyway and I have been having low regular maintenance costs except when i had to change the timing chain.
