Herbal remedies are a fact of life
Most of us do not worry about the
consequences of our lifestyle and
activities on our body. We are so used to
the “if it can’t fix it’s self then the doctor will be able to prescribe something that will” attitude. Indeed there is no real problem with this, as we go about our lives we catch viruses, infections and cause damage to our bodies through accidents or by pushing the boundaries of what we can safely achieve. This is what we are all about.
But how often do you think back to how
our ancestors managed to survive bouts
of illness or damage to their body
without the medicines we have today? It is important to take a look at our
ancestors to see how they managed to
survive so long and how this impacted on the powerful medicines we have today.
Even our cave dwelling ancestors back in 1300BC used medicine to mend their
ailments. The medicines were made
from the plants and animals that they
had around them because this is all that
they had! These were the origins of
natural remedy we guess that by a
process of trial and error, noted success
and failure certain plants were found to
relieve particular types of ailment. And
so it evolved.
The Earth’s diverse range of plant life
and animal by-products have many
different medicinal qualities, these
herbal remedies can solve just about any mild medical condition. Believe it or not many of us use herbal remedies on a daily basis without even thinking about it.
Do you drink herbal tea? Do you take
supplements such as cod liver oil? If so
you are using the medicines of our
ancestors to help you feel better within
yourself and promote good health.
There are many great things that can be done with herbal remedies; even the top pharmaceutical companies spend
millions researching the power of herbal
remedies so they can include them in
the medicines they create.
Some of the most powerful herbal
remedies come in the strangest forms.
Even simple every day foodstuffs like
bee honey are powerful remedies.
Surprisingly, bee honey is a powerful
antiseptic or antibacterial agent; this is
because of its high sugar content and
low moisture content, which kills nearly
all bacteria.
Remember, herbal remedies can help
you stay fit, healthy and feeling good
inside, but only if you treat the different
herbal medicines with the respect they
deserve, after all these remedies have
lasted for thousands of years.
