hrhobi1: For those who find it difficult to comprehend the story, The cashier is now a suspect in the murder of Mr Daniel Akhibi.

Does this still make sense to you?
how did the alert point to the arrested cashier?
is the cashier the only one in that bank?
which atm was the money withdrawn from?
how did they know who was with the atm card that was used? did the alert tell them all these?
Re: Dead-Man Withdraws N20,000 From Account In Benin by Shaw007(m): 8:07pm On Aug 14, 2012
There are 2 sides 2 dis story. . .either the cashier is really guilty or d alert was late, either ways. . That cashier is 4cked

what / where is relationship between the Cashier in the bank and the debit alert on the deceased's phone a day after he died? does this "old generation bank" have only 1-cashier?
no mind, the bank get only one cashier. Well its typical of nigerian police, arrest must be made to close a case.

They must have gone to the bank to find out the cashier behind the withdrawal na. They can't just make arrests without proper investigations. Factors like date and time must have been corresponded to the time and day of the murder. If all these were cleared at the bank, they wldnt have arrested the cashier. U people must not act ignorant all the time

NPF aint stupid, They must have carried out their investigation to ascertain if the withdrawal was done either by ATM or Over the counter before proceeding to arrest the cashier. Does it make sense to you now?

stillme: Don't know what to say. Maybe the delay of the text maybe as a result of bank network problem .
Very true! Its very typical of the police in Nigeria to always 'swing into action' and arrest innocent people without even conducting investigations. Sometimes there's even no need to investigate anything, a little dose of common sense is usually enough but we all know our police people lack any.

Bzoe: I don't really understand wat they re saying.pls can any one explane what they are saying

The simplest explanation is dat there was a cash withdrawal from the deceased man's account across the counter a day after his death through the cashier. It simply means dat the cashier could be an accomplice in the death of d man. Its either the cashier debited d man knowing dat he is dead or intentionally or unintentionally paid a fraudster from the man's account.

If the bank is not notified abt d death of the particular customer any cheque presentated will b honoured by the cashier and the money is little so it will not make sense to the cashier to confirm from the account holder.

IF THE CASHIER IS INNOCENT HE WILL ASSIST THE POLICE IN INVESTIGATING WHO CAME TO WITHDREW THE MONEY AT THE BANK.

Sometimes it difficult to comprehend how people like you reason... So the cashier should be in police custody while the stupid investigation goes on in the name of foolish, baseless case? Guess you will be happy if the cashier is member of your family... This country has a problem to is deeply rooted way back in time
