buchibabe: Car is not an investment but just an asset. Which means dat it does nt appreciat in value. Infact d more u keep it d more it depreciates, unlike landed properties dt can be sold even tripple d cost price dependin on d location. Cars are not yardstick to measure wealth. So be it a lincon or a mazda 626,u can still be a broke ass dude Speak carefully... There are cars that are assets sir.. Try buying a classic and see the cost difference.. Its even more expensive if it still has its original parts and has never been re-surfaced. |

Flyboy Zee: @All, whether you agree or not, whether BRF said it or not. OWNING A CAR IS A VERY GOOD SIGN OF PROSPERITY.Mr, owning a car is a ''basic neccesity'' - personally i see it as a necessary commodity(next to the roof above yur head) in today's developed world. It's only a luxury wen yu pay for one car the same amount that will get yu 2 or more of the same kind of car(e.g Range Sprt. SUV -- a Honda CRV). |

ironben: Go ask the guys living under the bridges and in uncompleted buildings if they consider owning a car as part of your "BASIC NECCESITY". Stop forming what you don't know anything about. Even in advance and developed countries, owning a car, your "basic neccesity" is a sign of "arriving" if you get my drift. Abi you think say na N10.00 dem dey use buy motor or even scrap? What you ought to know is that, it is far cheaper to take public transport whenever and wherever than riding in your own car even if your car is a junk. You don't strike me as one that has owned a car or even owns a car right now, so you may not understand. For your information, BRF has owned plenty of cars and is speaking from experience, because he no easy to buy car, then keep the car going, no matter the kind of car, Mr. Basic Neccesity. |

If as at last year a man has no personal means to go to work or move around but rely on public transport and by this year he bought a car to move around, this means he is prospering (progressing) but not wealthy or rich yet. Therefore, if you have a car (that you didn't have before), it means you have moved from one position of progress to another. That means you are prosperous. |
