18 Die In Separate Car Accidents In Abuja by Freiburger(m): 11:17am On Aug 16, 2012
Sixteen persons were confirmed dead on Wednesday after a passenger bus plunged into a river at Rijana village on the Kaduna – Abuja Road.

In a separate accident, two persons were said to have died when a BMW car plunged into a gully near Abuja.

The incidents were confirmed by the Federal Road Safety Corps Sector Commander for Kaduna State, Olu-Mike Olagunju.

The cause of the crashes could not be confirmed as well as the number of injured persons.

my rum mate during nysc was inside the bus that fell into river. God pls save him. I am touched, i am shocked, www, what went wrong? 2010A, after yrs in sch, service, why must it end like this? Why were they not rescured? Is there any rescure team in Nigeria? Boss no, nooooo

Obviously yes but very minimal compared to Nigeria's except for other troubled Islamic States struggling for a radical change in the way of running their government.

Ders only 1 river @ rijiana n dat wer my frds car fell in2, not a pit @ reported, y dont u face ur own issue n stop spreading rumors or blivin in dem. D sector commander in charge of kaduna-abuja express way confirmed dat der was no oda accident wit fatality dat same wednesday, still seaching 4 me frds remains

May there gentle soul rest in perfect peace, I was on my way to abuja yesterday morning when the accident occured and the driver had to stop and we all came down just after the bridge to see and rescue I guess cause there were hundreds of onlookers also at the bridge and rain was drizzling slightly. We were around the bridge for about 30minutes after the BMW plunged into the river and there was no sight of both the BMW car or passengers and I was saying inside me that they would av been near dead by now cuz the river was very dirty,flowing heavily cuz of the rain and deep, once again may there gentle soul rest in peace Amen.
