Actually the truth is, most people are not afraid of death per se, but the 'HOW?'(cause of death). I use to be afraid of 'HOW' I'l die, the pain (imagining how it feels when hit by a bullet in a vital point that very second you know there's no surving, or have someone stab you with a dagger, how it feels at that very second when you're been ripped apart by explosion, or have shattered glasses rip off your skull in an accident and so on) all these are what brought about the fear of death...I've always prefered and wished to just die in my sleep as my mode of dying. But I've come to realize that when you believe and have Christ in you, the fear will vanish.

Now am not and will never be afraid of death anymore, anytime, anyhow...death is inevitable but one thing am damn sure about is I can't die before my appointed time, someone saying 'how' will you know your lifespan?, I'ld say human seek after thing they can't and will never know... what fun is their if you really know when you're going to die.


God is a mystery, you can never understand how He works, His reasons, that is what distinguish Him from Humans...and I think what pisses a lot of you people(atheist, pagans) off is the fact that you don't and will never understand the mystery behind ' THE ALMIGHTY GOD'...you're mad because you can't predict His next move, you don't know why?, how?, when? He do what He does and that's what makes Him God.


I can only pray and urge you to embrace Him soon. For me it's a win-win, there's nothing to lose...if it happens that God does exist(I believe in His existence) am saved, if He doesn't well there's nothing to lose...choose wisely.

I would then imagine that every christian would like to die and go to that beautiful place, i mean they should be really impatient about going there, but the reverse is the case. It's not like we Christians are afraid to die in the real sense of the word but you have to understand that people have earthly responsibilities. Even though we all know heaven is a beautiful place and all, would you pray to die when you have little children who depend on you for their survival? Especially in a place like Nigeria where many people love maltreating children that are not biologically theirs, would you love to die and leave your kids behind so that they will be maltreated by others?

Even if you have no kids, would you love to die and leave behind your aging parents or parent who is depending on you for survival? I mean, you have to understand that death leaves pain and void in the hearts of the deceased's surviving family members so no one would want to die young. In old age its understandable because by then one's parents are no longer living and the children are adults and can take care of themselves. However, when one is in their 20s, 30s, 40s and dying, it negatively affects your family members and those who depend on you overwhelmingly for their needs.

This is especially the case in Africa because as Africans we have the responsibility of taking care of our aging parents, younger siblings, our offsprings and family members who are struggling financially. I can use my family as an example. My mother is the first born of her mother. Two of my mom's younger siblings are not doing well financially and said siblings decided to breed alot of children. They strongly rely on my mom for help. My aunt lives in one of my mom's properties in the city with her children and grandchildren. My aunt's husband is alive but lives in the village. When he comes to visit his wife and children and grandchildren, my mom has to give him transport and pocket money when he is going back to the village.

So, you think that someone like my mom who is a staunch Christain will now be looking forward to death knowing that her sibling, nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews will suffer if she should leave this earth right now? You think my mom will not like to enjoy her grand kids and we her adult kids even though heaven is beautiful? Abeg leave that thing. I love heaven too but I have so much to live for and I pray for long life because I want to be in ministry and spread the good news of the kingdom of Christ Jesus. You should know that satan the father of lies has this world going to hell in a hand basket and so I am praying for long life so that I can be a foot soldier for Christ Jesus and win souls for the Lord Jesus Christ and I don't think God disapproves of that. Christians who are afraid of death are those who still condone sin in their heart. The bible says if there is no condemnation in our heart, a glorious rest is ours.

shedraq 1, been wealthy is not a sin in islam but living an extravegant lifestyle is wat islam forbids amongst its followers. even u are bill gates, islam requires that u give out most of it out as charity because it has too many inbuilt and compulsory obligations to really discourage materialism. we were made to understand that our material possessions that were keep away jealously away from enough sadaqah, voluntary charity, zakat would be used against us on the day of judgement. it is very possible for a very good moslem to be as wealthy as dangote but mind u more than 40% of his real worth would have been consumed by voluntary donations, sadaqah and zakat.
