I guess that they are disbursing the little balance in their account, before the seven/eight days maturity date of money received through FAAC usually dropped. 22nd to 30th is eight days. Possibly other banks will start receiving from today being the eight days.

GOVERNOR WIKE REDEEMS 280 MILLION PLEDGE TO WIDOWS OF SLAIN OFFICERS
Rivers State Governor, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has redeemed his pledge of N280 million (two hundred and eighty million) to families of the 14 security personnel murdered by gunmen during a recent attack on security formations in parts of Rivers State.
Governor Wike had during a condolence visit to the State Commissioner of Police - Friday Eboka and officers of the State Police Command last week Monday, announced the donation of N20 million (twenty million) to each family of officers killed by gunmen.
The cheques were presented to 11 widows of Police officers at the State Police Command, two bereaved family members of the Nigerian Airforce at the Nigerian Airforce Base and one widow of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corp (NCDC) official in Port Harcourt, respectively on Monday.
The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo said the gesture is in fulfillment of the Governor's earlier promise to alleviate the plight of the widows and their children.
According to him, “His Excellency, Governor Nyesom Wike CON deeply sympathize with you. We know there is nothing else he can do to bring your husbands, fathers and brothers back to you but he has asked me to tell you that in situations like this, we look unto God and pray that God will continue to support you and show his grace to you.
“He wants you to know that your husbands and fathers did not die in vain but died for their fatherland and God will certainly take care of all that concerns them. Men may not be able to do much to assuage your feelings but be rest assured that God Almighty will take care of you.
“The Governor has asked us to bring this token of N20 million each to the widows and children of the deceased security personnel.
“Our role as a Government is to always identify with people who make sacrifices for the good of humanity, the good of Nigeria and the State. No doubt your husbands are some of those who made such sacrifices along with several officers who are doing same", he said.
The Governor further assured the State security personnel of his continuous commitment and support as they discharge their duties.
“I encourage all the officers who are toiling day and night to ensure the security of the State that Rivers State Government will always stand with you and identify with you no matter the situation. The Governor appreciates your sacrifices and will always support you to eradicate this recent trend of criminality and terrorism ravaging different parts of the country," he said.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Friday Eboka thanked the Governor and assured the continuous service of his men to the security of the State.
“We are happy that the Governor has extended his hand of friendship to us. We have been sad all these while, but today, the Governor in his magnanimity has come to wipe out our tears. We appreciate the Governor and pray that God will continue to help him the way he is helping us. We know that money cannot bring back life but invest the money properly so your children will not drop out of school and use it wisely," he added.
In the same vain, the Commander 115 Special Operations Group, Nigeria Airforce, Port Harcourt, Group Captain G. E. Laha, thanked the Governor for the kind gesture and promised to continue in the good service of security of the State.
On behalf of the recipients, the widow of Inspector Paulinus Bassey, Mrs Grace Bassey expressed gratitude to the Governor for the kind gesture of empowering the widows and family members of the deceased.

FG, states, LGAs shared N616.8bn in April —FAAC

The Federation Accounts Allocation Committee on Friday said it shared a total of N616.886bn as April 2021 revenue to the Federal, States and Local Governments as well as other relevant agencies in Nigeria.

The Office of Accountant General of the Federation disclosed that the shared revenue was contained in a communiqué issued by FAAC after its monthly meeting for April 2021 held through virtual conferencing.

The Director, Information, Press and Public Relations, OAGF, Henshaw Ogubike, revealed this in a statement issued in Abuja on Friday.

The statement was titled, ‘FAAC shares N616.886 billion APRIL 2021 revenue to FG, states and LGs.’

According to the statement, the gross statutory revenue for April 2021 was N429.733 billion, the gross revenue from the Value Added Tax was N164.340 billion and revenue from the exchange gain amounted to N2.250 billion.

The OAGF also said that the excess bank charges recovered was N0.563 billion, while revenue from non-oil was N20 billion, bringing the total gross revenue to N616.886 billion.

The statement read in part, “In April 2021, the sum of N79.468 billion was the total deductions for cost of collection, statutory transfers and refunds.

“The balance in the Excess Crude Account was $ 72.413 million.”

The communiqué indicated that from the total revenue, the federal government received N244.011billion, while the state and local government councils received N193.432 billion and N143.298 billion, respectively.

While being optimistic is the way to loving.
I beg us all to move beyond this level of waiting/anticipating for the salary. Let play down on the day we expect it so that disappointment/ heartbroken news will not emerge.
Farm your backyard, or engage in anything that can still make up for this salary, should it delay by even one day.
What ever don't cross your mind, will not cross your hands!
Great colleague, let think and think and think again, until some relative idea cross our mind.
See you at the top!!!

When one says, "salary will come Thursday/Friday" by human inclination, expectation rise but should there be a shift from the said day, desperation set in, as it rises, anxiety closes in.
My first point is , remove mind from a fix day.
It will come for sure.
Then, to grease the palm, I am saying, let's get to think out what can augment liquid cash should there be an unease in the camp.

Good morning colleague.
First farming (cassava planting/processing for belle) this save me a lot in paying for garrison. Noticing the rise in price, I include ease my farming capacity and as such could sell off one or two basins in every harvest.
Later add some livestock for my choice meat, this too has grow beyond just providing meat for household use to selling to others.
I do rabbit, fish and grass cutter now.
First it started as "make-up" for food but now an addendum to my palm.
But they are other relative things, any one can do.
I did not pursue high return investment but opt to reduce my buying things for food and, that's was it.
Happy Sunday.
