lol, I think you and Ms Darkskin should be required to put a disclaimer on your posts or the topics you start stressing that you're not Nigerian or West African. Just so people don't get the wrong idea.

The dance is called "Eskista". It was the Agew ppl who invented it, but it's also part of Amhara culture.
It's hard to do it perfectly.

By the way, I'm an Amhara/Agew mix Ethiopian.

How are the Agew people different? Do they speak another language?

Yes, they speak different language. There are 4 distinct Agew languages which belong to the Cushitic branch of Afro-Asiatic super family.

Amharas speak Amharic language which belong to the Semitic branch of Afro-Asiatic super family.

Those 2 ppl are very similar culturally and genetically.

Which religion do you believe in. I'm curious because of the "cushitic branch". Isn't Cush the eldest son of Ham who was Noah's son. Also read somewhere that the oldest and completed Bible in the world was found in Ethopia.

Sry just curious, hope you don't mind

I'm none believer.

I'm not trying to sound negative, but the story of Cush, Ham and Noah is fabrication.

Yes, I also read online that says Ethiopia Bible is the most complete one.

The Ethiopians that are mention in the Bible and other Ancient texts aren't fully the present day Ethiopians. Some of the Cushite ppl in Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia and Djibouti may have been part of it, but the main Ancient Ethiopians were the Nubians of Sudan. It's only after King Ezana of Axumite conquered Mero(a kingdom in northern Sudan) in the 4th century AD that the name "Ethiopia" started to refer the present day Ethiopia.

Ethiopia is a Greek word which means "burnt face or black face".

Amhara and other Semitic speaking Ethiopians are more Cushite ppl than they are Semite.

The Nubians of Sudan resided in what is today the central of Sudan and southern Egypt, right? They left some of their traits in Egypt.

I thought Nubians were present only in northern Sudan. Thanks for correcting me that they also inhabit central Sudan and southern Egypt.

Yes, you can say I'm atheist.
