Hi peeps, i've got a cousin who studied Soil and Water Engineering as his B.Sc and he wants to study Structural Engineering as his M.Sc. Structural Engineers on NL, could you please help me advice him on opportunities in Structrual Engineering in Nigeria and the challenges also involved. I don't know much about the field being a Mechanical Engineer myself. Your honest, advice is highly welcomed.

Trust me that is a vey good ambition....even apart from great financial benefits that comes relatively with experience and networking there is a feeling of achievement that comes with every sucessful/Existing project you ve designed and probably supervised...However, your cousin has to really convince employers and clients that he is really interested in structural engineering by starting with a PGD in civil engineering + an Msc in structural engineering....Its a good profession just that initially rewards may not be coming forth ....buh after 3-5yrs of experience and recognition...he will be fine....its ma profession tho...buh am planning to explore business related career...
