As you all know I am starting my natural hair journey (it's been a month since I last had a perm ) and already seeing my natural new growth.

So I am creating this thread to celebrate the uniqueness and beauty of e1b1a type African hair. It's one of a kind, versatile and the strongest of the bunch. I can't wait to get back to the old me.

This is one of my favorite videos.

She definitely struggled in her first few months of transitioning from permed hair to natural and has done what many who too had difficulty did which was using braids as a kick start.

Because of patience and care not only did her natural hair return but it grew much faster than when she had it processed.

Do you mind if I pay attention this..?

My daughter is only cosing to 2years old, but me and her father is trying to keep it natural. We braid it, and use pearls, but we are hoping to encourage her to not put weaves in it as she grows up.
I love african hair, hoe curly and kinky it is. It seems like much work, I see my daughter, who is just half, get halfway-dreadlocks in the back of her head in the nighttime..

Keep it up, I love this!
