recently people buying cars are increasingly demanding for automatic gear transmission cars thereby reducing the demand for manual gear transmission cars, from my perspective, the manual gear transmission cars has more advantage over the autamatic gear transmission cars....... in order to educate us all, please tell us wc u prefer manual or auto gear trans cars, ur experiences, advantages and dis-advantages |

This same topic's been covered at least 6 times, and those are just the ones I remember, there might be more. Having duplicate threads x 6 is not only a pain, it also clutters up the section. |

It's down to two things, 1) personal preference and 2) availability. My luxobarges, like my E38 for me is best in automatic (can't even say that the factory offered a choice). On the other hand my smaller commuter cars are mostly manuals. The previous economic or performance difference in the same vehicle are mostly minute now, though it would depend on how the vehicle is operated. |
