Nigerian Scholarshp Students Has No Obligation To Return And Serve Thier Country by NdukweJC(m): 2:30pm On Sep 08, 2012
Till today, Nigerian government spend huge amount of money training students abroad
but there is no obligation for this students to return home and serve their country for atleast a short period of time
like many other countries do.Many students from other countries of Africa for example; Ghana,Namiba.Zambia etc according to conditons of their schorlaship must return home to their respective country and give some few years service as a pay back and contribution to their country. If we take into account the huge amount of money the Nigerian government spend on training these students abraod, wouldn't it be neccessary for this students to give back a little service to the country before they can choose to work esle where.Usaully many nigerian graduates abroad prefer to stay back oversea after training without even caring to return home.So what does Nigerian government get in sponsoring these students?,hence after graduation the give away all these potentials to other countries. How does this help the country or economy.Besides everybody knows that schorlaship is granted mostly to talented and exellent students and Nigeria which is still very underdeveloped can easily give away these talents to the developed countries.I know this issue my concern many of Nigerians in diaspora but I would like everyone to look at this in objective way rather reacting personal.Need your cooments!!!
