We want Barth Nnaji back as power minister. Majority of non-PHCN staff want him back in charge.
Lets call for his reinstatement. We have seen his handiwork and we are happy with him. We want him back. If you are in support Sign the petition

Yes, the man was doing a good job, but we canot wish away the fact that allowing his firm participate in a bid for which he is part of the umpire is an unpardonable breach of ethics.

I agree with you but let us not deceive ourselves.
Everyone knew he was a major player in the power sector before his appointment.
As a matter of fact, his suitability for the appointment was based on his grounding in private power supply.

Moreover this is not the first nor the last time Nigeria will pick some one from a sector to oversee that sector.
Can't the same allegations be made about Sanusi who had ties with Firstbank when he was made CBN governor.
Alhaji Rawani Lukeman was a player in the oil sector as at when he was minister of petroleum.

Isn't Dangote the chairman of NSE, where his company is the most listed by volume ?

Why is it that in 2012 we are still deceiving ourselves in Nigeria.
We dont have basic power supply in Nigeria after billions of dollars have gone down the drain and you're here talking about ethics.

Sanusi actually divested his FBN stake immediately after he became CBN boss.

Nothing wrong in being a private sector player while still being a minister but, for conflict of interest sake, he should not have allowed his firm participate in the competitive bidding

That said, I think, for his good job, it can be better managed while the man is allowed to continue his work.

According to Nnaji, he put his stake in a blind trust and relinquished his position as the chairman after his appointment. Is it not the same?

Barth Nnaji should be called for questioning and possibly prosecuted if found wanting. Conflict of interest and in his case presiding over sale of public property to himself is more criminal than committing suicide. He simply wanted to kill millions of Nigerians by mortgaging their future.

To hell with Nigerian styled ethics.
The average Nigeria wants steady electricity. We were getting that before he resigned.
we have bigger criminals. Sanusi sold banks to his friends, what is the difference here?

We may not want barth back but we NEED him back.

the recent improvement in power supply is because of the frequent rainfall so as soon as we enter dry season na back to status quo.

we nigerians don't realy praise good things when they come by because sentiments have clouded our thoughts.

is Nnaji the first minister of power we have?
was this the first rainy season we ever have in this country?
how come power never improve in Nigeria during rainy season in the years past?

the worst season of power outage in Nigeria is during rainy season,
which we hear excuses like transformer blowed, electric poles falls, thunder strike destroy many nepa(phcn)equipment.

we always cry for good things to come but when they come we look the other way and abuse them because of our tribal nonsense.
the man NNAJI is the best thing that ever happens to nigeria power sector in 35yrs

The difeerence is that PHCN staff stood gung-ho and defended their means of llivelihood adequately, while bankk workers were busy whining and offered no resistance
Sam Milla:

You need him back, I don't. He's lucky he's not being prosecuted for fraud.
