I just bought a Canon 550D and I'm hoping on shooting some movies with it. From all indications, the kit lens 18-55mm, won't do at all. So, I need the following lenses;
1. Tokina 11-16
2. 70-300mm

The 70-300 is just as bad as a 'kit' lens. What you really need to be looking at are - First... Prime lenses eg Canon 50mm f1.4 for starters. If going for zooms the Tokina is brilliant, Tamron 17-50 f2.8, & then a 70-200 f2.8 which you don't really need and is also very expensive. The first 3 mentioned will cover you for almost anything.
*Note* - Any zoom that changes apeture while zooming is no good.

Thanks for the head up.I've gotten the 50mm lens already. After some light research on the internet, I discovered the lens is a must have. I'm still hoping to get the other two you mentioned, tho.
