pls,to all medical students on this forum, your views and opinions are highly needed on this issue..There's this new medical school situated at ondo state named ondo state university of medical sciences which is currently admitting students into bsc programs in Anatomy, physiology and biochem.BDS and MBBS..I've just applied for mbbs and also contemplating on taking jamb form .But,the problem here is the issue of accreditation o by MDCN which we all know is more stringent. considering the fact the that I'm already a student of the university of benin but still passionate of the medical profession and not being ignorant of what non accreditation could result to,I hereby seek the advice of you guys because I'm confused right now..thanks in anticipation!! |

Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Dbrainiac1(m): 6:06pm On Oct 18, 2015 |
Drdonzeez:Baba take jamb ooo, don't just rely on one choice. You see like me last year I applied for a medical school, a dental school(I sat for both PPT and CBT in jamb), and remedial programme at the same time. Doing so, I later got to choose between em cos admission was coming double double. Was given Physiology in ABU(because d jamb score was low) and I got Dental Surgery in Unimaid. So I'll advise you not to take chances like some who are regretting what they should have done. Goodluck! |

Drdonzeez: we're in the same shoes oo. i've also applied for mbbs in the uni and i'm going to take another jamb form next year to avoid stories that touch. |

Durentt:Forget about Medicine abeg. |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Nobody: 6:07pm On Oct 19, 2015 |
Catalyst4real:pls shed more light on why u suggest so |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Catalyst4real: 6:26pm On Oct 19, 2015 |
Durentt:You didn't offer Biology in Secondary school. You Lack the Basics. And no matter how far you go in the field of Medicine, it will always haunt you. People are drawn to Medicine, for different reasons. You chose a different path, when you dropped Biology. Embrace Engineering. You'll never know the value of what you got, until it's Gone. |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Nobody: 6:32pm On Oct 19, 2015 |
Catalyst4real:yea thanks. So i cant start learning biology at least a little now? Bcuz even my mates who did it in sec school didnt go so far. I can even opt in for a lesson to take me for biology lessons. Wont dat be enough |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Thewhizzkid1(m): 7:09pm On Oct 19, 2015 |
Durentt:Do medicine if that's what you really want. Don't get discouraged. There are so many of ur kind who has taken this path before. I've heard of accountants and even mechanical engineers ( one on this thread) who came back to read medicine even after their first degree in their respective fields. Just sit down and create time to read for ur o level and jamb. Also, continue with the biology lessons as you mentioned before. U can do it. Good luck!!! |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Nobody: 7:29pm On Oct 19, 2015 |

Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Thewhizzkid1(m): 7:41pm On Oct 19, 2015 |
Durentt:Yes m a med student. I'm in AAU. I'll advice you to choose a federal uni that has ur state or town as catchment area or the state uni of ur state. |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Nobody: 8:12pm On Oct 19, 2015 |
Thewhizzkid1:yea am igbo, but i dont like uni in the east, they are so useless and impartial. I prefer from the north |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Thewhizzkid1(m): 8:21pm On Oct 19, 2015 |
Durentt:OK. The choice is yours. |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Nobody: 8:32pm On Oct 19, 2015 |
Thewhizzkid1:yea, sorry 4 disturbing but wat is the average jamb cut off 4 medicine. Is d admission really hard to get as they say? How many times did u try b4 succeeding |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Thewhizzkid1(m): 9:15pm On Oct 19, 2015 |
Durentt:D average jamb cut off is 200. Yes, it's quite hard. I tried twice before succeeding. |
