pls i need ur advice i applied for medicine but was given fisheries i was thinking of collecting another jamb form but my parents refused, u knw parents of nowadays my mum said i shuld not colet dis current jamb form she said i shuld colet the next which is 2017/2018 any advice?i dont knw wat to do i need u guys advice
When I first applied to medicine, I was given animal science. I dropped d admission and picked d next jamb form. My parents and some other people were telling me to go for d admission even if I was to pick another jamb form. But I knew that if I go for d admission, I won't be able to prepare to my satisfaction. By d grace of God, today I'm a medical student. So, I completely understand ur situation.
My first advice to u is dat, if u really want to study medicine, then pick dis current jamb form, don't wait till 2017/2018. The earlier d better. Convince ur parents and give them good reasons why u shouldn't wait till 2017/2018 (d passion might die down). Don't do it by force. Second, if u feel u won't have d time to study enough while in school, then drop d admission and totally face ur books. But if u feel u can study well enough for ur jamb while in school, then accept d admission.
A little more bit of advice that will help u do well in ur jamb.
1.Set goals. 260+ will be a good target, 300+ will be better, 400 is not impossible.
2. Work towards ur goals passionately.
3. Remember with all ur goals and reading, u can not do without God. Always have this at d back of ur mind and pray for God to help u.

I really want to be a medical doctor, but i have being disappointed twice by UNIZIK.I was thinking of going for engineering due to the fact that i enjoy engineering activities but hate studying their books.Right now,i am thinking of re-applying for med&surg in UI,is UNIZIK a good school for medicine? ,or should i go for Ui or rather go for the engineering ?,cuz i really want to go to skul as fast as possible i am tired of staying at home.

Hi docs, nice being amongst you here breathing in the cool breeze of your motivational atmosphere.
I've just being admitted into Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto to study MBBS.
Please, can someone just pass over to me a copy of 100L syllabus at least to study ahead of the big task.
I've heard words like 'go read your secondary school topics', but they aint encouraging. I think
more practical when portfolios are attached, so as to set a more timely achievable goal.
I'll be glad if someone can help. #thanks

Revise ur sec school textbooks/notes. If u'll be doing maths(geometry) in first semester, then try learning complex number or if it's calculus, then try learning differentiation and integration. Also try ur best to get ur hands on ur school's GST textbooks and finish the ones meant for first semester if u have d time.
NB: Prestudying before school resumes might be boring, uninteresting and can cause unnecessary burn out. So, don't force yourself on it. When d prestudy seems to be boring and tiring, pls take some time to rest and play. Also don't force yourself at dix point to always read through the night, when you are feeling sleepy just sleep. A time will come when you and sleep will not be good friends at all.

To me,the best idea is to write this coming jamb and make use of this long holiday to pray and read.
If you could beg your parents,do so.If not, just obey them.

Thanks for ur concern bro. The test was okay. I didn't finish d maths(numerical reasoninig) session cos there was no time. Results are not out and I heard they don't release results. One just gets awarded or not. My hope is on God and by the special grace of God, I'll be awarded.
