Good idea, but I'm from Imo state... That could be an added advantage to a certain level...
they is no advantage ther. Rather u will be disadvantaged compare to your mate in other universities studying same course. Reason because u will be stocked in the university without knowing when to graduate. I'm facing this same challenge and reason why I want to jump ship.

Sis... Thanks for everything... Indecision has caught up with me, I don't know what next to do or say at the moment. It's bad and unacceptable to hear that if/when one gets in, he/she would not know when to graduate... If applied, what are my chances at the universities that you mentioned here... Thanks, as you elaborate...

Borno state of origin. Thanks
Borno is considered an educationally less developed state. With 298, you can almost be 100% sure of admission into any federal school.

u have 98% chance in esut and they are good at medicine and surgery(6years u are done) unlike imsu. Ebsu is better you can give it a trial but i dnt know how they treat non indiegene.

I'm a bit worried. So I had 285 in jamb and have five B3's in my five core subjects. Applied for Mbbs, lasu first choice and not an indigene of Lagos. What are the odds please?
I'd like to know the statistics of lasu applicants this year. Does anyone have that information. I'm curious as to know how many candidates applied for Mbbs in lasu. Thanks for any response from anyone.

Going by 50-50 calculations my aggregate will be 75.63%.
Going by 60-40 calculations it would be 68.96%
I don't know which method lasu uses.

Greetings everyone. Have been following the thread for quite a while. Big shout to everyone who has given valuable contributions already. My name is David, I graduated with a 4.05 cgpa microbiology, and B3 in the 5 core subs; Eng, mths, chm, phy and bio. I intend to apply for DE into Medicine. Can anyone give me a list of Universities where i have a realistic chance of getting into with my "average" results. Thank you.

My brother scored 322 in the UTME 2017. He choose Medicine. He's awaiting his WASSCE Results. He choose University of Uyo because of my parents. I really want him to go to UCH, Ibadan. Now he has agreed with me.

Is the change of university/course form out? When would it be out? How much is it usually? Help me guys.

Shekstatari:
I don't know why students are so Obsessed about the so called "prestigious" Universities when it comes to studying MBBS/BDS. I remember Lomaxx graduated from Uniuyo...the 'less' admired University in terms of Medicine, but the guy is a "geek" when it comes to the medical field.
MBBS in UI, UNILORIN, UNILAG, UNIBEN et al is the same in UDUSOK, ABU, UNIMAID, UNIPORT et al.
At the end they're all called Doctors. The making of a "GOOD DOC" is not proportional to the school, but to the student!

You're correct. You make yourself a good doctor. The school doesn't really apply much. It's just personal preference, sometimes.

The longstanding schools really help with connections and alumni support. This comes in the long run. Whatever it is, just get admitted.
